In this Course you'll learn how to create a Sudoku in Unity Game Engine.
We create 2 different Conzepts. A Fill Mix Method and Recursive Backtracking Method. We create it as a 2D Game.

This course is a Beginner/Intermediate Course, so if you have trouble in any case, write me a message or Q&A, and i'll help as best as i can.

If you are beginner, you might have some trouble to follow, but the videos will guide you through the complete course. Don't forget you only become better if you repeat things and keep on learning!

So we create several Systems which will give us enough freedom to:

C# (Monodevelop)

create any type of Sudoku in general
create easy to super hard Sudoku Boards
create a Auto Solving System using Recursive Back Tracking later
create Inputs with Buttons to get a working Sudoku Game
Settings possibility for multiple Game Modes

Unity (2019.1.8f1)

create a Playfield of your liking
create Inputfield to give the Player Input possibilities
Create a simple Win GUI - You may want to create a not solved yet GUI as well
Hint and Check Buttons
creating a Menu and the Game Scene

Course Material

I provide no Material since it's not needed for the Course.

You have to write the code on your own, i do not provide the final scripts!

All other graphics for Menu's, Icons, Images or Buttons need to be created on your own.
All Materials i provide are for education only and should not be in your final release!

Conclusion

In the end of this course you will have a fully functional Sudoku 2D Game with multiple Game Modes.

Challenge

After you have created nice Menus, Buttons, and maybe additional content, upload the Game to any Gaming Website, Google Playstore, Apple Store or even Windows Store or Steam.

Good instructor, knowledgeable, explains thoroughly, prompt with answering questions. I feel like there was some odd jumping around on topics and the course could be organized better. Course is taught in Unity v2019, so a couple UI things are outdated. Nothing major but I found it frustrating at times being a Unity newbie and having to stop the course to figure out how to follow the instructions in v2022.3. Overall would recommend and covered what I was expecting in basic UI use and gaining some familiarity linking scripts and objects.

This is a good course over unity. It may have been a little advanced for me as I had a hard time understanding why steps are being taken.

The chosen topic is great for teaching purposes. However I am disappointed because the professor does not explain why he is doing what he is doing. He just typing the code.

Thank you very much for your explanation & process of design. But for a beginner like me I do not have any Unity Program / Text editor or related materials to follow properly. Simply put it where & how to buy the necessary Unity Engine Program. To unload from Unity website free program is not an ideal option. Please let me know if I can buy the Unity Engine program. It will be ideal if I can download my sudoku course so that I can learn at my own pace? Please assist & advise Thank you / James

This is a great course if you're trying to bridge the gap from beginner to intermediate coding C# and Unity. The instructor is very knowledgeable and provides examples when explaining difficult concepts/mathematics which I found very helpful, being a visual learner. The course covers two different ways to create a Sudoku Grid, one more simple but beneficial to demonstrate how the underlaying code works. The other includes recursive backtracking which creates a more versatile board. This was my first introduction to such a method and I really appreciate it being included. Look forward to more courses!

Excelente curso, entrega o que propõe, um jogo completo e funcional de sudoku básico. Para mim, só não foi incrível, por em alguns momentos, mesmo para alunos com conhecimento intermediário, pode ter ficado confuso o uso de nomenclatura de variáveis quando usando for loops aninhados (i, j, k, l, x, y), onde a maior parte poderiam ser row e col (column), e tem uma variável string chamada identifier que está perdida no código e nunca é usada. E não superou expectativas, na questão do Hint, que poderia efetuar a análise do quadro e informar ao jogador o porque do número estar lá, usando as metodologias de remoção de candidatos/possibilidades como swordfish ou xwing.
