Liked the pace of section 2 - may be a little bit deeper diving would be better. Sections 3, 4, and 5 were kind a redundant. Everything could be put in one section with greater level of detail in the same time. Section 6 for my disapointment wasn't about developing api but just generating api for one db model. Overall I liked the course and do not regreat spending time learning.

All 4 courses are excellent. I have not seen an instructor that explains the Django concepts so simple and clear and especially the REST API one. Mr Elder is the best instructor for beginners and I hope him to publish some new intermediate level Django courses in the future!

Knowledgeable instructor, I think a little bit of time spent organizing his presentation, e.g., working on removing the confusing bits like folder names that are identical and giving a little pause after editing files, etc. could help the viewer/learner. But all in all, very good.

great tutorial, learnt a lot! One problem is that that the initial parts of all the project are repetitive. Making views, urls etc. Also, wish the IDE of the tutor was full screen. Thanks Elder, great job!

It is a bit of waste of space to have 25% of the screen just to see him... Probably full screen would make more sense. I am sure there would be complains if he put full screen and people asking to see him if he did though hahah

This is a group of four projects bundled together - more like a code-along-with-me kind of course rather than a tutorial on Django. Each section is a separate project starting with installing Python. The course does not explain the why's and how's of the framework. In fact it does not go into any detail about what is included in Django, or why we need to do a thing that way. It does not even go into the details of the settings file, or sessions or cookies. Secondly, the approach is very casual, like 'yeah, you don't need to worry about it, ... I don't know, ...' etc. If you are expecting to get a good understanding of Django, so you can attend an interview, this is NOT a course for you. On the other hand, if you are looking for some sample code to copy, then it is useful. My intention was to get ready for an interview, and this course did not help me towards that goal.

Great course for learning the basics of Django in relation to APIs. I am glad you were articulate and that we could actually see you on the screen. Videos were not sequential therefore you can take each one individually. The downside is that it can seem quite repetitive (e.g. install python, set up venv, etc.) but might still be good for practice.

I bought this course with the hope to review the python basics and also gain more knowledge with Django. 1- This course is not really a Django course where you will get an explanation of files, how it really works and logic but a step by step how to create 4 different apps with Django, of course you will learn since there are steps that repeat in every App but at the end I do not feel I understand Django. I know he has a lot of knowledge and great teaching, but since there are no details in the course for Django, it feels like when you learn something new that is really cool and you feel that now you are an expert and can teach others. 2- I would suggest that instead of a step by step course you can teach in detail the logic and tools to create the APP with Django and then give the student a task or project. 3- You need basic understanding of HTML/javascript for the course so no true "No programming skills or special tools are necessary " and sometimes is not that obvious.

Finished the course. It was great. The bundle I went with could use some ajax enabled buttons for the stock and todo lists. I wound up trying together my own ajax tutorials online to supplement the course material.
