Honestly, I am very disappointed with this course and I absolutely do not recommend it. A lot of the content is outdated and will require you to find other solutions on Google (especially for the carousel animation in the testimonials section, the gradual display of names, etc.), the professor can code for several minutes in a row without ever explaining or testing his code, which is very bad practice. And it is even more problematic when he makes a lot of typos. I spent I don't know how much time re-reading everything and trying to find the errors since he doesn't show the corrections he makes to his code off-camera. To conclude, I didn't even manage to deploy my site. I have exactly the same code and nothing worked. And as you will see in the Q/A section, many others have had the same problem and his only answer is: "compare your code with mine". In short, a beautiful waste of time and money.

I really like your lessons and this portfolio. This just need an update about heroku because isn't free anymore, so I am waiting for that update here. Great job and Greetins from Chile!

The end product is good, but the instructor did not do a good job explaining the code and the logic. You just watch the video of him coding all the things without any helpful explanation. His GitHub code is all you need.

This course provided an in-depth exploration of React.js and how to leverage its power to create a stunning and functional portfolio website. I found the course to be well-structured, comprehensive, and immensely helpful in expanding my knowledge and skills in web development. The instructors did an excellent job of explaining the core concepts of React.js. He provided clear examples and step-by-step instructions, making it easy for beginners like me to grasp the fundamentals and start building my own portfolio website from scratch and also covered essential topics such as responsive design. I learned how to structure my code, implement reusable components, and leverage React.js libraries and tools to enhance the functionality and visual appeal of my portfolio website. One aspect that truly made this course exceptional was the invaluable support and guidance from Ehizeex. Whenever I encountered doubts or faced challenges, Ehizeex was always available to provide assistance. His expertise in React.js and their willingness to address my queries helped me overcome obstacles and gain a deeper understanding of the course material. In conclusion, I highly recommend this course to anyone interested in creating a professional and dynamic portfolio website. The course equips learners with a strong foundation in React.js and empowers them to build impressive websites that showcase their skills and achievements effectively. The instructors' expertise, the comprehensive curriculum, and the exceptional support make this course a valuable resource for aspiring web developers seeking to create impactful portfolio websites using React.js.

I loved the course. I always wanted to make my own portfolio and a website, but failed where to start. Truly, this course has a great ROI. Additionally, the instructor is very kind and considerate towards his learner’s. I faced quite a lot of obstructions and I always had prompt responses from Ehineex. All in all, would definitely recommend people to start their website portfolio journey from here

If you visit my profile you will find that in every course I left 5 stars rating, because all of them were worth it. For the first time I will leave one start rating here, but ofc I will actually leave concrete example to my reasons so this review is accurate and can help future students to learn from my misstakes of enrolling to the course: Teacher will reply within 24 hours, but all replies are the same "comapre your code with mine on github". If you will go through Q&A section at the beggining after release he actually was replying to the questions. Now when you ask the question, he will not help you but send you to the github to compare the codes. I asked 3 questions and I got 3 same answers. This is problematic for example in the case when we are in the middle of some .JS file and we need help, the final code sometimes just raise more questions than answers. Not to mention, when he makes the misstakes in the video, he fix them offline and in next video the misstakes are not there anymore. When I had trouble with the Testimonial Section, his code is actualyl different on github and in the course, because images are in the github imported through IMPORT path, not through direct path like in the video (and placed in different folder). In the overview youwill find that this course is for JS beginners, but that is simply not correct. If you are beginner you will really struggle. Iam already experienced developer in Python and I faced some couple of hours debugging chalenges because of his misstakes in the videos that he fixed offline and didnt show the fixing the course. I am in the 70% of the course and it is going well but I simply at this moment can not give more stars because there is actually so many flaws and when I was going through Q&A section {look for youselfes to make a picture} I was actaully feeling bad for those people where he just replied all the time to compare his code with theirs like some monkeys, not really think about the code, just copy it and you will be find. The worst part about the course starts after 30% of the course I would say. There are parts where he write code for over 30-40 minutes without testing it. Trust me, this is very bad practice to learn because when you are beginners you cant affort to code for 30-40 minutes without testing it, there will be bugs, and there ofc were bugs. But after 500 lines of code its very hard to debug it and you might even come to the point where your code is completelly broken. The last thing is completelly subjective: he has extremlly anoying overaffected voice. In the middle of the course when he tries hard and when he focus and he talks he actually talks like normal person, because he forget to focus on his overaffection, there is no way some people talk like that. In the conclusion, as I said I have done or am currently taking some really amazing courses and everywhere i placed 5 stars. This is unfortunatelly first time not the situation. Creating a portfolio is very popular thing, so if I would be choosing again, I would definitelly not choose this course.

This was an amazing course, thank you so much for your time! I've never been much of a JS person, it's always so confusing to me. You helped explain things in a way that made sense, and helped me remember. So thank you again.

The course started great in the beginning but ended up leaving me very frustrated. I wasn't able to deploy the website at the end. The backend was poorly explained and I saw in the course questions that a lot of people got stuck there as well and couldn't deploy their website. There was no support from the instructor on that issue, he just says to follow the instructions exactly in the video. Which I did and it wasn't working. After long hours of trying to figure out what went wrong left me even more frustrated. Somewhere in the middle of the course the instructor asks to install react-typical. I had an error installing it because react 18.x.x doesnt support that app. Then I went to read the course questions and instructor suggests to install it with --force. Which turned out to brake everything. It mixed up all the dependencies, that's why it's impossible to upload it on heroku. I ended up redoing the whole project from the beginning without react-typical and the backend; and just uploading that to other service as static page and connect mailing form with 3rd party app. This course could definetely be improved, I like how my website looks like. I would also recommend to actually use the bootstrap classes instead of writing long css files manually, if you just follow the videos the website will not be very responsive. Instructor did add bootstrap but still manually built all the css functionality. Otherwise the course is great, please consider my recommendations and please update the course!

I am only halfway through this course. The content is good. But I think you should have some knowledge of react to follow this course better. On a different note the link that you gave us in the first video is not working: https://eduportfolio.herokuapp.com/

I am glad that there is a step by step installation and understanding of the content. Not many courses do this, and I am a beginner.

This is great do-along lecture course that doesn't stall too long at underlying stuff, some prior knowledge comes handy. One should look up newer and maintained packages on some occasions, but in-all great course.

Missing a lot of things and didn't explain them, when other people asking the question related to the problem in the course answers far-fetched things, instead of try to catch the problem. I do not recommend him as a teacher!!!

You have to really pay attention and remember not to always use curly braces with .map, use ( ). That's what has been causing problems for me.
