Succeed in Business Even if you Don't Know Where to Start!

The course was pretty basic at best. If you're a complete beginner, I would probably suggest going with something different. My biggest gripe with this course is how the instructor provides a lot of talking, but never really any notes on the slides. Each slide provides only one picture with the instructor speaking non-stop. The course becomes pretty boring fast, and I can't help but feel like this course was extremely vague in substance and value. I've taken a few business courses here on Udemy, and unfortunately as much as I'd like to say this course pretty good....I simply cannot. While the instructor does explain some valuable key points about certain business types, it's not something you'll find yourself saying "This course really helped so much with being able to succeed with my business!" I gotta be honest when I say I think the instructor means well, but there needs to be more work of the actual value of the course itself. This course would be a WHOLE lot better if there was some notes on the slides. Not to mention the fact I felt like this course really didn't do anything to really help with actually starting in business, succeeding in it, etc. Maybe because I was bored, uninterested, I don't know. But I felt like there could've been a lot more offered than just going off talking non-stop. Now don't get me wrong! He does explain a few key details about some business stuff, but honestly most of it feels so vague that I wouldn't even recommend this course. I expected this course to go more into detail about where to actually start as a beginner into business, and go into details about how many businesses are so successful, but instead like always with most courses I find, it always escalates to being just every video either preach talking, glossing on stuff but never going into any real detail on what the actual content is. While I did like the resources given at the very beginning, I think this course just may not be for anyone honestly. I know my review may sound pretty negative and bad (Which is really is negative), but to be fair I do think the instructor means well....but the course is just not recommendable to anyone let alone beginners. Any beginner that read my whole review please at least consider finding another course! I'm not saying there isn't something valuable here, which is why I'm giving it two stars to begin with. Look, just do yourself the favor of finding a much better course, otherwise, you'll just be wasting your time here. PS. To the instructor Scott Brown, you sound like a sincere guy, plus your course was free so I'm not too mad about this. Adding captions doesn't make your visual content anymore appealing to the viewer. And for people that say the visual aspects don't matter....it does matter! This is a video not a audio book. It should be common sense that when you're doing slideshows that having notes for students to take down (Which is especially important when there's so much information given, and when you're making people take quiz's.), and having multiple visual content can make people more interested in not only looking at your slideshow, but more interested in listening. Also, not really sure how all this information is really gonna help if you don't really guide/teach the audience some steps onto HOW to actually do all the steps you mentioned. To sum it up; This course is really vague and gets boring very quickly. Not a lot is really helpful. This course needs a lot of work. Wouldn't recommend this to anyone simply because it's the same talkative narrative that does nothing for the audience. Sorry, this course may be free but it's not worth the time.

I was interested in learning more and enjoyed the first few sessions but the last sessions were not what I needed but as a whole they were very informative.

I thought the course was great, the teacher was easy to follow and understand, he has a great personality.

Not sure if it relates to businesses in NZ. There seems to be a lot of information about investing, tax and finance, can't see any sections on marketing and sales.

While I found the course informative, it's really about retirement planning than about business. From the title, I would have expected the course to be about starting a business or working in the business world, not about retirement planning. Some of the lecture titles also have little or nothing to do with the content of the lectures and seem to be designed to get attention. Nevertheless, I learned a lot I didn't know about financial planning--it made retirement planning seem much less confusing. It would have been helpful to have some handouts with some of the information as some of the topics were pretty complex to explain in a video.

Probably is a very good course, I thought it was going to be more general starting a business, but went heavily in legal aspects, my issue is that as someone from another country, these laws are completely different, so most of what is taught is irrelevant, should have noted the countries it is relevant to in description or title

this course is very good but i suggest you do slideshows instead of keeping the same picture whole time so it's easier to keep up with the things you are saying.
