Sorry but i just broke up to continue that course. Every free video on youtube is better and structured than that course. For 25 years of experience i expect more professionally.

The course seems to be a good match for me so far. I've worked my way through another Jekyll course (from LinkedIn Learning, not Udemy) already, so I'm doing this one to reinforce my knowledge. Compared to the first Jekyll course I took, this one goes more in depth on building a site in Jekyll. The previous course focused on using Jekyll in GitHub pages, and left me feeling like I didn't know as much about Jekyll itself as I wanted to. This course is helpful in filling in those gaps. One downside of this course for me is that the instructor bases the material on a mostly complete site built in HTML and CSS, and shows how to convert an existing site to a Jekyll static site. After I finish this course, I will want to look for more information so that in the future I can build a Jekyll site from scratch, as well as converting an existing site.

Great subject, good course, great instructor, okay delivery. She should attempt to record the course over and practice before recording. It felt more like a 1-take YouTube recording instead of a course. It was delivered like a quick step guide. Here is what can be done with this. Here is how I do it. No why? No background on Jekyll, and why we use it beyond SSG etc... I completed 25% of it and got sort of tired of the instructor's delivery. I had high hope for this course. And I am sure she is new and she will get better at this in the future. But lack of experience as an instructor or lack of camera presence certainly shows here. But she knows her stuff. She is knowledgeable, it is just that her delivery approach isn't my style. She may work extremely well for others. My advice to her, lookup Bob Ziroll course on React on YouTube or Scrimba. This is what instruction delivery and video recording should be like. It can be learned and your courses and students would greatly benefit from an improved delivery on this subject. Otherwise, good course, great subject.

Absolutely loved this course. Jana is engaging, exudes warmth and a genuine love for teaching. She covered the material well. I am kinda new to web development and I could follow her instructions properly. She is also very responsive. If I had doubts, they have already been asked and answered by her. I wish I had more stars to give. :)

If you want to learn Jekyll - take this course. Jana is a great teacher and the course is full of great info beyond just building a site, stuff like how to add a domain name to your github site. She breaks down each topic and explains them very clearly and then demonstrates on screen. I've learnt a lot and I will be coming back to it as a reference in the future.
