What you will learn

Manage SQL Server Administration; install SQL Server in a Production environment following best practice, review storage, data and log files necessities, understand the importance of backups and restores, configure security and more

Why take this course?

The following course will introduce to you the foundation of SQL Server Administration Part 1 as it's practiced in the production real world situations. I have designed this course for the beginner but at the same time introduced elements that are practiced in the real world, so the student gains a faster understanding of the requirements in the production server. Anyone interested in understanding, configuring, managing or is responsible for SQL Server systems will benefit from this course. My first course T-SQL, while not mandatory, should be taken so you gain a better understanding of this course. All software, SQL Scripts and documentation is provided for you. All you need is a desire to learn and fullfill you future goals. These courses will give you that direction.

Did not realize how many things were going to be outdated. Managing to stumble along. It's a little disjointed at times. I wish the supplemental materials were a little more robust.

They should indicate the date on which the course was recorded to understand if the software was out of date. This is the present case

I am only starting the 3rd video but I love the way Raphael explains everything step by step so even new students to this can follow along. Now that I am half way. I'm sad to say I was not able to follow along on my computer as the Windows Server ISO file forced me to have a product key and I did not have one. Still though I am learning a lot and will definitely help me to become a Production Database Administrator as everything he talks about is what my company does with their DBA's. Once done with this first video I will try for an interview and will update you all as I will also continue this course to the 3rd video.

This is a great course, and I found it very informative! Even though the last recorded update was in January 2019, the instructor's knowledge and the information provided are still relevant in 2023. Despite the instructor using an older version of SQL server in the course, I could follow along using SQL Server 2022 without any issues.

Very beginner friendly course. Good for those who have zero database knowledge as the instructor's explanations and demonstrations are easy to follow. I was only confused at the part where he shows installation of different sql versions and vm.

Great so far ... links out of date but hopefully will be picked up shortly Still good ... after the first 14 classes flying now ... think if I was someone who picked this course up I'd be looking at Vagrant to build machine images in Virtual Box and to use the Versions of OS and SQL Server they are going to use for real

Very informative lectures but need a little bits of hands on examples. I´d like some kind of quizes between lectures as Raphael did in the T-SQL course. As I said I bought all the SQL administrator courses so this review is only my opinion.

I'm one of those "accidental DBAs" and this helped a ton with helping me understand what's going on at work.

Der Kurs war sehr gut und ich hätte gerne 5 Sterne vergeben, aber es gab nicht eine einzige praktische Übung oder Übungsfragen. Schade.

I can say that the course has the most detailed explanation among the courses I have taken. I believe the documents should be refreshed. Thanks for this comprehensive series of courses.

The instructor is easy to follow. The knowledge in this course is essential for me as one of my tasks is administration of databases. I knew a few things beforehand but this course helped me consolidate what I knew and helped me learn new things.
