I was ok the first few lessons. Then I noticed how much the course screen did not match my Scrivener. This course is outdated, developed in 2016. It is 2023 and I just bought Scrivener 3. I am now unable to get a refund. It is my fault for not noticing the date and the title of the course does not say Scrivener 3. Please know what you are getting and now I am having trouble following along with the course with a screen that doesn't look like what is in the course. Otherwise the content would be ok.

The speaker demonstrated a thorough knowledge of the Scrivener program, however I would have liked to see exactly where and what he was clicking on to show us exactly where and how he arrived at the technique he used to arrive at the result we were looking at. His knowledge of the program and use of it was very impressive.

Took this course years ago and forgot to review it. ^-^; I originally learned how to use Scrivener 1 using the built-in tutorial, and while it helped me to figure out most of the features, I learn better visually. This course fit the bill. The course is well-organized, and I've gone back after the course was finished to use it as a reference. I felt a lot more competent with the software when I finished, and considering I got the full 7 hour course on sale for less than $20, it was WELL worth the price. My only complaints: I remember having some issues with downloading/utilizing the non-video resources. It didn't bother me enough to warrant removing a star, because the course teaches everything that it needs to. Other (minor) complaint, I find the instructor's voice to be harsh to listen to, but I'm neurodivergent and it's likely a non-issue for most folks looking over these reviews. I nudged the volume down to take the edge off and I'm glad I did. This man knows his way around Scrivener and explains it very clearly. It's worth every single one of the 5 stars, and as of the writing of this review, I am in the middle of taking David's Scrivener 3 for Windows Unleashed since I updated to Scriv3 last year and I want to keep up to date on all the new changes. Excellent courses, Mr. David! Thank you.

The tutorial provided by Scrivener is confusing. I started using Scrivener and found it uninformative. This course clarified the program for me. It also provided some useful tools. I recommend this course for those planning on using Scrivener for their writings.

I've been using Scrivener for a number of years and have watched a few tutorials, but none as comprehensive as this, and especially for Windows. I'm still learning about lots of little things that I've never taken notice of, nor investigated. The most useful, for me, was learning how to use 'collections'. I've actually been a little leery of that part, since I didn't understand what would happen if I fiddled with stuff I'd put in there! Now, I see the possibilities for my novel - sorting by viewpoint, for a start, during revision. Thanks for a great course. My writing experience will be the better for it.

This course is really very, very good. I appreciated the pace, the linear and logic succession of the lessons, and in general the complete overview of the software (and my ah-ah moments). I couldn't give a full five stars because my eyes went mad in following the mouse arrow whirling frantically on the screen (when not pointing to something specific), and the lacking of a unit that for me is crucial to any writer: how to manage a bibliography, what external software to use (if any) and how to export it to a word/other type document. I do really hope, I do, that it will be added as a unit to make this course really great. Other than that, a great course, I recommend it to anyone willing to learn how to use Scrivener for Windows.

The videos are Very SLOW to start up and then they keep on stopping (maybe buffering ??!!)....this makes it very difficult to watch because it’s Soooo frustrating...not good for learning motivation.. Please fix this technical problem, because it’s NOT my server.

I’ve got this software, but so far I haven’t learned anything I didn't find out for myself after one or 2 days. I’m hoping that will change. I really need to learn about auto numbering of headings and paragraphs for compiling long documents, but that may be for later...
