In this course we'll learn the Python 3 programming language and the Javascript programming language from an absolute Beginner level all the way to Advanced in no time at all!

This course is aimed at the absolute beginner, you don't need any coding experience at all!

We'll start out by setting downloading and installing Python and the Sublime Text Editor - both for free. This will give you all the tools you need to start writing and running Python code.

For Javascript, we'll use the free Sublime Text Editor and a Web Browser so that we can learn the basic Javascript concepts.

Then, we'll dive into very basic computer science concepts. Things like:

String Manipulation
Printing to the Screen
Simple Math
Variables
Data Types (lists, tuples, dictionaries and more)
Assignment Operators
Comparison Operators

After that, we'll move into more intermediate topics like:

While Loops
For Loops
Conditional If/Else Statements
Fizzbuzz

Finally we'll finish up with more advanced topics like:

Modules
Functions
Classes
And More...

We'll learn all of those things for both Python and Javascript. We'll start with Python, and then move over to Javascript in the second half of the course.

Moves very quickly, pausing to make notes or update, create new files. Addition of a doc with commands to support training videos would be nice, effectively a 'cheat sheet' in support.

The Lectures are well conducted. However, some of the lectures are a bit fast for some new in programming. I really appreciated my time and will continue with other module lectures accordingly. Thank you

the course is very basic for python and javascript. it's easy to understand, especially the way author mapping between python and javascript. There is a bit i don't like is about video. it's not full HD video, so i have to maximize browser to see text. i hope author can make HD video for next courses. i give this 5 stars.

I completed the python course and simply loved it. Easy to follow and understand. Going through the JavaScript course, I am walking through areas and getting a refresh. I previously coded in NodeJS, so I had avoided the front-end stuff before. But this course so far has made it interesting. I am curious, for sure and engaged.

Very easy to follow and understand. I especially like that the instructor shows you how to build it as you go. He sometimes got unexpected results and explained why that happened. This course not only teaches coding, it teaches the development experience. I look forward to more of John Elder's courses.

Enjoyed the Python portion using a script editor (sublime) instead of some of the other course that push Jupyter. Hopeful the Javascript portion is just as enlightening, will complete it after a bit more Python fine tuning.

I knew nothing about Python, but have done years of programming in other languages. Much of the material was just too basic for me. It is listed as a 'beginner' course though, so can't fault the Instructor too much. He does a fine job presenting the material for sure.
