Un gran profesor. Va a lo esencial, paso a paso. Deja espacio para el autoestudio, la prueba por cuenta propia. Me imagino un segundo nivel de este curso, por ejemplo, interacción de OpenPyXL, xlwings y Excel. Mil gracias.

Not a fan of Sublime Text. Setting up the virtual environment seemed very Windows specific. Even so, an EXCELLENT course! John's a great teacher.

Just a note for iPad users, although i have windows pc’s and a Mac, i love using my iPad whenever i can and there is an app named Carnets and it’s free. So far, all the code works with it in a Jupiter notebook. I installed all the applications on my windows laptop but i decided to try the iPad and it works. WOW amazing Carnets works and its a free app!!!

Course structure and instruction was very good. The one issue is the omission of a few BASIC things like add and delete rows and columns, copy and delete regions of data (slice), and possibly create and delete sheets in the workbook. All instruction was without error and very clear, just wish the above mentioned had been included. For me those are very important.

Très bon cours, bien expliqué, j’ai vraiment appris et apprécié. J’avais mes sous-titres cela m’a permis de lire ce que je n’entendais pas facilement. Thanks you John

Good content. I find it sometimes difficult to understand exactly what element is being referred to, as the instructor uses the word "THING" all the time to refer to any element from variable, to a library, to a line of code, to an excel spreadsheet, to a tab name. Language is very important when teaching, and attention to language detail would make it infinitely easier to follow.

The entire course is way too short and just reading the documentation would be better. In fact, reading the documentation would be better because the course does not cover important stuff like creating a new sheet or pivoting a table. In addition, the assumption seems to be that there is literally no python knowledge required which seems weird. I think for people with even a bit of python knowledge a lot of explanations are just boring and pointless and for complete beginners they would be overwhelming. The course basically covers the basics but that is literally it. I'd recommend for maybe something like 3 - 5 dollar. Will try to get a refund.

It was very good and the instructor was excellent. It would be better if the examples were a little more difficult.

Elder made it so easy to automate report generation by writing python codes. I still throw away all these Visual Basic books from now on.

I think this course is great for people with no previous experience in Python or programming, as you take the time to explain how to set up your environment, and explain with many examples what do what... For someone with a bit more experience in coding, maybe another course more straight to the point would have been more adapted. I would have appreciated maybe a bit more examples for Graphs on how to sort data (alphabetically, by value ascending or descending, ...) how to set background color, .... but we can see that as some homework to dig in the documentation. Thank you very much for your energy and your very detailed clear explanation. I can see you enjoy teaching and sharing. *

I am from a finance background so I didn't really understand the coding rules but it is pretty amazing how much you can do with python.

Quick, short course explaining clearly how Python can work with Excel, from data to formatting to charts. Clear, good explanations.
