Why take this course?

I welcome you to my course: Project Management with Earned Value Management (EVM) - 9 PDUs for PMP Certification, CAPM Certification, PRINCE2 Certification aspirants, and entry/mid-level Project Managers willing to learn EVM to monitor & control projects and drive business decisions (and willing to gain PDUs along the way).

Why learning Project Management is challenging?

Project Management can be a difficult subject to master. Not because it has loads of framework and tools associated with it, but primarily because it's 'people' on the field who does projects, NOT the 'tools and frameworks'.

You can learn all the available tools for project management, be a master of excel spreadsheets and mathematical models...and still you can fail miserably as a project manager.

This is because, project management is a practical science, not a theoretical one.

You will become a better project manager once you are able to apply what you learn in real-life projects to lead teams that consist of 'people'. Microsoft Excel or MS Project will not 'do' the project physically for you in the field.

When we start to learn project management, this is the key item that is lacking. The realization of how the tools, formulas, framework and techniques link to real-life projects and how they can be used effectively to deliver highly successful projects.

Why should you take this course?

This is where this course comes in.

In this course, I have picked one of the most effective tools of Project Management which is Earned Value Management (EVM).

And, using that tool, I have explained how you can use this tool to lead & direct projects in real-life.

I have used the Case-Study Based Learning Approach in this course which was pioneered by the Harvard Business School in 1921 and over the years this method has been progressively adopted by the leading universities and management schools across the world such as MIT, Stanford, Oxford, INSEAD, Wharton and ISB.

This case-study method will not only help you to understand the concept of EVM thoroughly, but also will help you to apply that in a real-life project scenario to solidify that understanding.

In the case-study detailed in this course, YOU will be the project manager for Project Neo which aims to construct a warehouse for an e-commerce company in the UK, install a robotic pick & place bay within the warehouse and program & commission the same. It is a £1,000,000 project that you would be leading.

The case study covers various aspects from the disciplines of Civil, Mechanical, Production and Information Technology.

Through the case-study of Project Neo as discussed in this course, you would learn the following items:

  1. Understand the linkage of project management principles with real-life projects

  2. Get to know how it is to be a Project Manager yourself

  3. Learn Earned Value Management (EVM) as a key tool for leading & directing projects

  4. Learn all the formulas and metrics linked to EVM such as PV, EV, AC, BAC, EAC. ETC, VAC, TCPI etc.

  5. Know how to use EVM to take project decisions

  6. Become efficient in tracking projects using Microsoft Project

  7. Learn how to use MS Project to perform Earned Value Analysis

  8. Develop professional looking project dashboards using MS Project

  9. If you are a MBA/Finance student, gain understanding of EVM in a project based scenario

  10. If you are preparing for certification exams such as PMP, CAPM, PMQ, RMP, PgMP, PfMP, APM etc. get an overall understanding of EVM concepts and formulas which forms a key part of the syllabus for all of these exams

When you enroll in this course, you should expect crystal-clear, easy-to-understand explanations and instructions so that your focus stays on the 'learning'.

Frankly, I am a bit envious. I wish I had this tremendous learning opportunity when I was just getting started as a Project Manager.

I am confident that you’ll experience instant results delivered by this course.

That’s why I invite you to click on the “Enroll Now" button, secure your lifetime access now and begin to learn.

You are going to love it.

Enjoy the Learning!

This course is fantastic! I had a specific need to learn EVMS using MS Project and this course taught me that and a bit more. Section 8 is where the meat was at for me but I went through the whole course for completeness. The course gives a quick but thorough coverage of EVMS using a simple project, which is a great approach as it is efficient. You won't learn everything about MS Project but you will learn about EVMS and MS Project.

This is the first that the formulas have been demonstrated to me, in such as manner that is not overwhelming… to include grad school lessons.

In my opinion this is one of the best courses out there if not the BEST. It was well organized, clear, and easy to follow, and Nilotpal was very knowledgeable with excellent presentation skills. The instructor did a great job in covering the course material. "Excellent Course!"

Assessment set should be based on the 25questions set and divided into 4 part or according to topics.

I like that the instructure has gone step by step through the formulas and explained not just one way of interpreting the values for projects. Having the additional way to interpret (or speak to) the numbers helps me understand the concepts and I feel I can apply what I am learning to my current projects with more confidence.

Over all very good concept understanding for entry level. But for advance level people who needs to apply the knwoledge in mega projects which are complex there is very little help.

I'm doing my jobs with SMEs mainly for personal entrepreneurs by the own and bank financed fund. So EVM is very first criteria to pay back the bank money, which can help to monitor the right steps. I think it will be a very beneficial course for me.

This course definitely explained a lot of the definitions and process to evaluate her in value management. The ability to review it in a case, study and continually review section, end, driver, each individually, while adding up to the total really helped.

I am an experienced Project Manager and engineer. I love personal development and study continuous Project Management terminology to keep my knowledge current. I take many lessons from different experts. All of them are good and have a variety of qualities. Mr Ray's unique personal identifier among these instructors is his "information delivery that directly hits the target" approach. He gives accurate information that unlocks the chaos about the subject in one's mind. Before I took the PMP exam last year, I also took his PMP practice exams. The questions in his practice exams were the ones that most closely resembled the actual exam. He is a good and very prolific PM content creator and provider. He's doing something I've always wanted but never had time to do; He shares valuable information. I thank him and want him to know I will always check its content first to earn my PDUs.
