Practical Solution Architecture

So far it looks like the content will live up to my expectations for an "advanced" level course. The author has already touched on many of the skills and areas of learning that I was hoping to see.

Loved it, to the point. Don't think it's missing any details. One feedback: You missed the google/fb login in the architecture diagrams so good if you can include that one.

Very thorough but concise introduction to all aspects associated with solution architecture. I like the fact that the course does not assume or advocate one specific methodology or framework but does include real examples and templates, so can be used practically to support real projects..

I am Absolutely enjoying this course! It seems we've travelled the similar path i.e. IT EUS and Server Support, Web Hosting, Administration and Development (C++ and Java), Solutions Architect managing Cross-Functional Teams using an Agile approach (my Leadership passion) and Enterprise Architecture and I did a stint as a Business Development Manager in a Data Centre Environment before returning as a Senior Solutions Architect at the cusp of the Digital Transformation and Azure boom! Thank you for so articulately sharing your knowledge...I'm learning so much from you!

This course gave me some incentive to look deeper into AWS Architecture. It has also helped me define some simple steps to take with me to interviews .... I was able to roll through this in 2 nights which was important from an interview prep point of view. The example documents and templates will be useful moving forward as well

As a SharePoint Consultant I might helpful to make a next step architect as overall design of the process.

Unfortunately, I found this course to be a mix of "perfect world scenario" and a presentation, rather than an honest course from an industry practitioner who is well aware of the real-world constraints. Having worked in the industry for over 16 years for many clients, I found some assumptions about organizations surprisingly unrealistic. An architecture review board? Sure, but only in a $1B+ organization, and good luck finding time on their calendar. In most companies you'll be lucky to find a dedicated BA. How a junior architect should approach such a scenario is entirely missing. A business capability diagram? I've heard it mentioned in every theoretical course out there but have yet to see an up to date one, if one exists at all, on a real client project. Just a few examples. Otherwise, the theoretical knowledge presented in the course is great, but that's the problem: the knowledge is presented, or demoed if you prefer, but not explained. For example, there is little value showing a bunch of completed diagrams without taking the time to even explain their value and to what contexts and projects they are best suited. Theory is great, but in practice everything is rushed and under budget, and as architects our job is to design solutions within such constraints. I did not find this course helpful in that regard.

Not bad, but the content was a bit boring and lacking depth. The fact that the instructor is basing himself in, mostly, content and knowledge that he acquired working as a Solution Architect makes you wonder a lot of these practices are general, best or recommended. Ultimately, if you read A LOT from gartner and tongaf, the content described here is purely subjective as each project has its own perks.

The practical solution architecture course was great. The instructor was clear, and the exercises were practical. It's a good starting point for beginners and provides valuable insights for those with experience. Highly recommend it!

Amazing content ! Gives great insight to the tools and methods used. Helpful for those who try to Upskill\switch their career path to an architecture role.

Each sessions and topics are deeply and briefly covered with example and easy understanding of journey.

Excellent, well-structured and well-organized course. It is a very good course for beginner level and good refresher for experienced once. Liked the presentation and the templates. Over all... a very good course to start with, for those who wants to explore the area/domain of solution architect.

A very interesting course that provided me with a useful "modus operandi" to analyse issues from the Solution Architect point of view.
