Why take this course?

Due to environmental challenges and the depletion of fossil fuels, renewable energies are getting so much attention. However, due to the intermittent characteristic of renewable energies, using them as standalone mode could not be reliable. Therefore we need to integrate renewable technologies together to solve this issue. the integrated system needs to be optimally sized to reduce the cost and economically feasible.

To achieve this aim and size and manage our integrated energy system model, we want to develop our model in Homer software. Homer software will then perform optimization on our model to minimize the net present cost of the system.

In this course, I tried to explain all you need for designing your system and technically and economically assessment of it using Homer software for the first time on the Udemy website.

What you will learn in this course:

i really appreciate that the terms that were important were defined. but it would have been more clear to me of the terms like LCOE and NPC were given some more time with examples. because after knowing these terms from here i also took help from google to get more brief about LCOE. so yeah, its a good experience so far. needs to be explained more briefly.

Very basic application, no deeper explanations. It's not bad, it's just not that useful if you have already spent an hour or two on HOMER by yourself

Great introduction to Homer which is an impressive hybrid system development tool. Only comment is wish their were more resources such as sample homer files we can load and play with of both the taught example (my numbers wouldn't match) and more complex scenarios.

Up to this fourth session, it gives a good over view of integrated energy systems and I am really excited to learn the continuation of this training.
