Description
Welcome to Introduction to Stuck Pipe Prevention
MODULE 3: HOLE CLEANING
In today’s drilling market no one can afford to get stuck – the costs are simply too high – especially if the incident leads to having to side-track or abandon the well. The more Drilling Personnels know about Stuck Pipe Prevention, the less likelihood of becoming stuck. We begin by looking at the general factors affecting hole cleaning, rig site monitoring, hole cleaning in both vertical and directional wells and the characteristics of cuttings beds. We then look at hole cleaning pills, drill string movement effects, reaming and back reaming, circulation before connections and trips, wiper trips, and trend information usage.
Finally, there are several questions which the delegate is required to answer in order to understand his or her understanding of the subject material. This is an informative course which is both interesting and enjoyable. Sign up today!
This course is presented by Dr. Michael Gibson who has 40 years of Drilling Industry experience and he has written a great deal of training material throughout the years as well as many SPE, IADC, and Industry Conference Papers.
