Mocha Pro 2019 for After Effects Track & Replace Masterclass

You definetely learn a lot of the basic stuff of mocha, how to transcript into AE, that helps a lot. But I think it's a bit difficult to follow the instructor. He often interrupt his own thoughts, jump into another thought and sometimes forget to go back. Seems to be an bit unstructered. For further lessons more structure is needed.

I liked all the detail he went into on tracking flat surfaces, but I really want to know if Mocha can track a moving person in a shot.

Decent instruction in moments, but the lack of lesson-specific study materials is a huge drawback. Some lessons seem pretty scatterbrained and disorganized; the instructor constantly interrupting himself and not completing the original thought. All in all disappointing; wouldn't recommend.

no footage included? are you kidding me? but i have an idea why: a couple of shots are used by other competitiors on the market so maybee the instractor cant share these files without getting trouble with the right-owners very disapointing

I wish the teacher was not so chaotic sometimes and repetitive in others. He has skill but he needs to improve to get a more organized flow.

It has the basics in there, but he spends a longtime covering those basics, repeating things that don't need to be repeated (repetition for learning is not a bad thing, but this borders on the annoying at times). He also - and apologies to the teacher here - is rather pedantic, condescending and often scolding to the audience, which is a strange way of working, to say the least. I'd recommend heading to the Boris FX site's Tutorials section instead - the trainer Ben Brownlee has a series of tutorials that I found give a much better grounding in Mocha Pro, and you can stream his 'Getting Started with Mocha' course for free.

The course is good enough to get you into an introduction to mocha. I was expecting to deal with complex non-flat surfaces. I work with t-shirts and wanted to know how to interpret movement in order to grab into things. I recommend it just as long as you don't know how to use the program that much. If you are already familiar probably this won't be enough.
