Very informative for the old way of doing things. I'm using the TK8 Plugin with Photoshop which makes the masks for you.

The information provided is very good but, I have a major issue with the presenter's accent. Not enough to exit the course but enough so that it makes it difficult to follow, at times. I find myself having to repeat some of the video to make sure I understood what was said.

Luminosity Masks is an essential technique for tone and luminosity mapping that most students don't know about. Venture into this course to grasp an in depth concept of this technique, which can be use to obtain very precise selections out of your images.. And of course, Kasia is probably the best instructor around for teaching you this technique. Extensive knowledge and high quality instructions define her into the great teacher she is. I recommend this course to anyone

Nice course, I think the RGB channel explanation is really helpful to understand the idea of Luminosity mask, since I never use the RGB channel before.

Leider lassen sich die (nach meinem Geschmack) überflüssigen Untertitel im Browser nicht abstellen. Mit der App funktioniert das. Und, sobald man sich an den Akzent der Dozentin gewöhnt hat, ist das Englisch kein Problem mehr. Nervig bleibt das endlose Wiederholen des Hinweises darauf, dass die Command-Taste auf dem Windows PC eben halt die Control-Taste ist und Alt-Key auf dem Mac Option-Key heisst. Das sollte einmal erklärt werden und damit genug sein.

Best theoretical explanation of how channels underly luminosity masks. It has made all of the videos and courses I have watched suddenly make sense. The first few sessions are just what I needed to do more than watch videos. I expect to be able to use luminosity masks effectively by the end of this course

Kasia Zmocla is a very giftet teacher and educater. the course is build up perfectly and she always repeat the important stuf again and again. She is working very logically with the pictures and explain why and how she will proceed. Her understanding of photoshop is high so she can explain complicated task in a simple way for everybody to understand. Working with luminosity mask is a powerful tool and I can't wait to start practise on my own work. Only cons, I can say about this is that there are a little to many word. please take a little longer breaks between sentence, vary your tone of voice and maybee cut back on repeating everything. Inhaltlich hat es mich sehr weiter gebracht, für den letzten halben Stern müsste das Englisch noch einen Tick besser sein. Aber man versteht alles, das ist nicht das Problem.

Good explanation of luminosity and color. Downloadable images are very helpful. The clip on creating the different luminosity masks was really interesting. Very useful course and quite a bargain.
