Content and Overview

Suitable for all levels from beginners to advanced practitioners, through this course you’ll learn how to use Tarot in a Life Coaching setting using a simple Five Card Tarot Spread in all Eight Areas of Life, then moving on to using the SMART Model and then the Grow Model. Each chapter closes with exercises, putting your new learned skills into practical use immediately.

This is a brief one-hour course that is geared towards Tarot READING, not coaching. That is, asking "spirit guides" while doing random, face-down card readings for clients. The section on Life Coaching Areas (e.g. Business/Career, Family/Friends, Romance/Relationships, etc.) center around the RANDOM reading of each of these areas--and then, from those areas, goals are chosen. This puts the emphasis on the CARDS to not only dictate the pressing issues of a client, but also the solution! I'm sorry, but this isn't Life Coaching--this is Tarot Reading. Granted, the presenter goes over the SMART goal model, as well as GROW--but those coaching paradigms are available all over the web. And even when providing potentially helpful questions for the clients to answer for THEMSELVES (e.g. "What resources do I have?", "What isn't working for me?", "What am I feeling?", "How does my behavior affect others")--she titles them Life Coaching Questions to ASK YOUR TAROT DECK. Again, this isn't Life Coaching--this is Tarot Reading with a bit of Life Coaching thrown in. (Btw, I'm a Tarot expert, author and deck co-creator--as well as a certified Life Coach.)

Excellent framework to use to build a life coaching practice. It does assume that you are proficient in Tarot reading already, since the course is centered on life coaching and not tarot reading this makes sense. I feel there could be a little more depth built into the lessons, but over all I was really pleased with what I learned.

I wanted to love this course, I really did, but I am disappointed that I didn't learn anything from it. We are given only one tarot spread and even though she has videos on work/life/romance they are all repetitive and she doesn't go into how tarot can help you to choose the best path forward. She also doesn't go into ANY life coaching lessons such as talking to the client, setting goals or homework to help your client throughout the week. Overall, very disappointing.

This is a good course as a started. Would love more in depth and seeing how a sessions takes place. Face to face, and via Skype or FB, something live. But all in all, good lessons to begin to figure out what you want to do as a life coach with tarot. I do appreciate that it wasnt full of card interpretations !

The course pdf is very basic listing several spreads. However the spreads aren't written about in great depth. Most of the real knowledge of the course is in the written portions. Her videos are well-done but very short. It doesn't go into any help on interpreting cards in certain circumstances that might be confusing like say getting a positive card in a negative position. Or court cards in odd places. The videos are mostly spreads for the instructor which kind of gives examples but really I don't feel like there is enough detail overall in this course. It goes into some on how you want to talk to other people when doing life coaching tarot which is good but it doesn't get into how to deal with people in general. Say if someone disagrees with your coaching/cards or how to really interpret the cards from their traditional meanings to action or how to help them or yourself set up plans based on these readings. I feel like if you know your cards well enough to adapt them into understanding them in these kinds of readings you probably already know what the course is teaching as I felt it would go into different ways of interpreting the cards in this situation. I was really looking forward to this, but I hope she adds more depth as there is a lot of potential in the course but right now it feels pretty basic.
