I had thought that it would be more life couching but it focused a lot on "business" or helping your client find work and succeed in the business world. Also the "audio lectures" were basically a repeat of what was taught in the first part of the class..

Great course and good content but I have to repeat parts of the sessions sometimes, and concentrate, to understand what he is saying because of his accent. The subtitles are very helpful but don’t always match what is being said.

The course said almost nothing beyond what any basic goal-setting or interpersonal relationship article says, and offered no real insight into helping coach people through either a goal-setting, purpose or achievement process. The very very few examples flashed on the screen didn't even correspond to what he was talking about. Happiness, which is covered in the title, is barely evoked at all. I've taken other classes on coaching where I walked away with tools and how to use them, and a lot of specifics. This one was nothing like that, a waste of my time and money, and insulting even to think someone interested in this topic doesn't already know these very very basic concepts. The visuals are almost completely lacking, just lots of stock photos shown, often not even in line with what's being said, and again no worksheets or templates or any other specific tools that could help the coaching process. The course presenter has a good voice and presence, it's a shame he didn't develop content that is worthwhile.

The course is helpful but would be more helpful if it wasn't just lecture style via videos. Application exercises or a workbook to go along with the program would be valuable.

Where to start? Jean-Gabriel may have the best of intentions in trying to teach life purpose and happiness coaching, but all he really does is talk about it. He talks about what he knows. Talks, talks, talks blah, blah, blah... Half the of the time I don't even know what he's talking about. One thing just runs into the next without proper transitioning. For example, this course is called "Life Coach Certification: Life Purpose and Happiness Coaching" yet, in section 2 called Developing Potential, he just rambles on and on about skills, and how to discover the potential for skills...and not using potential skills for the professional goal. Then he goes over how to recognize skills to use for the interview process of getting a job? Work Skills? Life Skills? Job application skills? What to put on the application for a prospective employer? It's like he's all over the place, trying to cover everything but only in increments and then run them all together. His English doesn't make the course any easier. It's understood that it is not his first language, and that's fine but then if one doesn't have a solid grip on the language they are trying to teach a course in, then perhaps they shouldn't be teaching a course in that language? He isn't engaging at all nor does he teach anything unless, of course, you learn something through deciphering what the heck he's just talked endlessly about never making a really solid point. There are no real-world examples, just video of him talking about what you need to do as a coach. I just finished another course, by someone else which I don't think is proper to put here, but was blown away by the amount of useful and valuable content that was delivered by the instructor. The instructor is engaging, speaks clearly, and the course is so well put together, I'm shocked he's offering it on Udemy at the low cost he is. I have already gone through accredited coaching schools and spent thousands of dollars on training. The previous course I mentioned above and took here rivaled that! *This particular course, and sadly, several others here on Udemy are just not worth the time or money. Ultimately, the course is not well thought out or structured with valuable content that actually might help an aspiring coach be the best kind of coach they can be in the real world. This is one more course that throws together some information, slaps a "life coaching course" label on it and sells it to make money. There is no real interest in helping the student go out into the real world and be the best, most competent coach they can be. I would not recommend this course if you are seriously looking to get some valuable coaching training from an Udemy course.

I found it very dry. Good information but a more visual option would be helpful - perhaps powerpoint? As well, he doesn't change the tone of his voice which I find can cause one to daydream
