Kompression ist neben der Klangbearbeitung per EQ das wichtigste Tool für Musikproduzenten, unabhängig davon, ob akustische Musik aufgenommen wird oder Musik elektronisch oder per Computer erzeugt wird. Dennoch wenden viele Produzenten Kompression falsch an oder verwenden Presets mit ungünstigen Einstellungen, statt den Kompressor ihrem individuellen Signal anzupassen.

In diesem Kurs lernen die Teilnehmer, wie Kompression funktioniert und wie die typischen Parameter eines Kompressors eingestellt werden. Alles, was dazu nötig ist, ist Lust auf Musikproduktion und eine Musikproduktions-Software (DAW) mit einem Kompressor-Plugin. 

Damit die Lektionen auch praktisch nachvollziehbar sind, stelle ich die Loops, die ich während der Kurs-Videos zur Demonstration nutze, zur Verfügung. Sie können in jeder gängigen DAW und mit jedem Kompressor verwendet werden. Der Kurs kann je nach Experimentierfreudigkeit in etwa 2 bis 3 Stunden absolviert werden.
