Serial communication.

Why take this course?

Hello everyone,

Welcome to the introduction of my Jetson Nano Boot Camp course. Nowadays, image processing, computer vision and Python programming language are becoming very popular. In order to realize our own machine learning projects, we will carry out a machine learning project with Jetson Nano which is a powerful artificial intelligence computer. Not limited to this, we will learn about Python, Image Processing and machine learning.

Of course, we will start with Python and learn the basics of Python well.We will learn about the concept of variables, standard input and output functions, loops, conditional structures, functions, modules and more.

And then we will get into the topic of image processing. We will learn the basics of the OpenCV library, which has been developed for a long time, and detect the objects we want in real time with the software using the machine learning method.

Of course, in addition to detecting objects, we will also be able to control the Arduino board, which is very popular in the world, according to the object we have detected.

Thanks to the school crossing sign project included in the course, we will detect our school crossing sign together with our Jetson Nano board and then reduce its speed according to the school crossing sign where we detect our DC motor that we connect to our Arduino board.

Since the course was created as a result of years of academic and technical experience, you will be able to carry out your own machine learning projects together with Jetson Nano when you finish the course.

No previous programming or electronics knowledge is required.

I had a lot of concerns about ML, I was looking for a simple and well-explained course. I realized that It's is never too late to learn and all my problems are solved, thank you!

The course is good; it covers a wide range of topics and includes everything you need to get started with using a Jetson Nano. The first parts of the course are all done on a Windows/Mac/Linux computer, then connecting an Arduino Uno board via USB, then moving on to the Jetson Nano Devkit itself and a couple of short, achievable projects that showcase what has been learnt. The teacher is calm and patient throughout, explaining what must be done to achieve each step, and each step leads naturally to the next. To make this a 5* course, there are a couple of things I'd like to see: 1. In the "Hardware Requirements" (section 2), you mention the Jetson Dev board, the Pi camera and the Arduino, but projects in section 12 and 13 require a number of other components. It would be good to add those to the Hardware Requirements list so you don't suddenly get to those chapters and have to stop as you need some particular bit of hardware that you don't have. 2. Throughout the course, the explanation of what to do is very good, but I think it lacks the why. The course shows the creation process for AI and ML models using positive and negative images and then runs those models in real-time on your PC. The same is done later for the Jetson Nano, but there is no reason given why the Jetson Nano is more suited to the task than your laptop. The latter tasks, done on the Jetson board could just as easily be done on your PC, so why go to the trouble? Perhaps these are topics for a more advanced course, but I was left wondering. I would recommend this course to any AI/ML complete beginners who don't have any experience programming in Python or C. If you have experience then you will want to cut out most of section 3 & 7, which is about a quarter of the whole course content.

It is clear, and beside getting knowledge, we get a dear friend here he he #run Recommended even when you don't have Jetson Nano Spoilers: No Tensorflow
