The course is good for someone starting out with absolutely zero IT experience. A bit more explanation of windows 10 would be better and the virtual box. I had to google why you use virtual box. Other than that, very basic fundamentals and easy to go forward on

This was very informative. I have previous experience in the IT Support Field, but this is an excellent refresher. Just want to point out that in Section 1 Lecture 3, there is a typographical error with the spelling of the header Environment. All in all, the information provided is great.

No illustrations on how to download the components needed on virtualBox. No real scenarios/examples on when or why to use/need specific commands. Some terms were not defined before explaining the usage.

i feel like i learned alot. i am looking to change careers and i recently applied to an entry level help desk position at my company. i wanted to have a background of information in case i am called for an interview. this was a great start as i will continue to further my education.

I'm a person who is trying to get a job as a level 1 or beginner at a help desk, and bought this course in hopes to gain a better understanding of what basic things I might face in such position. -It spent a lot of time just telling me what a help desk is and how it helps consumers who will call in to it. -When I got to the environment setup I was confused because it doesn't really help or tell me how to set up those specific workstations using oracle VM, I ended up just not trying and continuing on with the lectures. -Section 2 covered even more of what an Help Desk is, but also covered common customer service etiquette in that type of environment, which can be key. -Section 3 felt like I was in a "how to use Windows 101" class and to me felt like knowledge someone interested in help desk work will already know and understand. -Section 4 had a lot of useful information, but didn't really explain very well how this will help me at a help desk. Maybe provide some real help desk examples for how these functions will help in these situations. -Section 5 I found to be most informative and beneficial for something I might face in a help desk for a company. I had never set up a domain or understood there purpose before so I liked this section. -Sections 6 for this course needed to be much much bigger, and should cover more basic questions and answers that someone in a basic help desk position will face. Give examples or scenarios that you have faced or believe a level 1 person would get. This section should be the main part of the course, and I found it very lacking. -finally in the 2nd quiz on question 5 "true is spent wrong" just so your aware. Overall I found this course to be geared towards someone who has never heard of a help desk or has no idea what it does, instead of it being geared towards someone who is a beginner at a help desk.
