I have been studying and practicing the Tao for ten years now. It's a lovely addition to the books I study. Each morning I listen to one of your lectures, take notes, and then read a corresponding chapter with Wayne Dyer's, "Living the Wisdom of the Tao, Change Your Thoughts, Change Your Life." I enjoy your interpretations. It appears by the course that you do. not go through all 81 verses. I was hoping you did. Thank you and Namaste, Dr. Kathleen McDonald

Unfortunately, the instructor of this course is amateur. He is merely reciting the points in an another language—which does not seem to be a teaching, or a expansion of the chapters, if fact, his content does not even qualify for chapter wise course pattern. Well tried, but I think he should work on his communication, linguistics, and philosophical skills to create a course like this. I do not recommend this to anybody.

This course is just a reading of the Dao De Jing with the instructors personal interpretation and sometimes simple rewording of the text. In some cases going directly against established teaching of Taoist priests and masters.

The intentions are good: to expand consciousness. I liked reading the Tao Te Ching and found it interesting. However I also got the impression the teacher is just freestyling and making up what he says on the spot.

I am thankful for the free course and would recommend doing a little more homework on some of the terms but over all wonderful knowledge to take into consideration in life's lessons and path.

I was sure it would be impossible for me to give a course that consists of reading the Tao Te Ching anything less than 5 stars but I was wrong. Couldn't make it past chapter 8. At first I thought the presenter lacked even basic understanding of Taoism (which he does) but still I would be able to ignore his comments and enjoy the book he is reading. Well, I was wrong again. He seems to lack the mental capacity to understand the subject he is supposed to be "teaching" and his comments are nonsensical and distracting. I have reached the conclusion that a 4 year old could provide more valuable input commenting on the Taoist classic then the presenter. A 3 year old too. Basically any child that can speak. No, scratch that. A child who is yet unable to speak would provide way more valuable input on the subject than the presenter.
