This PLC course is a step-by-step introduction to controllers, built on a everyday experience of a practicing automation experts!

So What is a PLC?

A programmable logic controller, also called a PLC or programmable controller, is a computer-type device used to control equipment in an industrial facility. The kinds of equipment that PLCs can control are as varied as industrial facilities themselves. Conveyor systems, food processing machinery, auto assembly lines…you name it and there’s probably a PLC out there controlling it.

What is this PLC Course about?

This innovative PLC online training, is addressed to all automation enthusiasts. The tutorial is based on Siemen's LOGO! 12/24 RC and Siemens S7-1200. If you are thinking about working in automation industry, you have to deal with PLCs. If you work or study, and wondering if- and how - to start your adventure with PLC, see our course! All over the world, the continuing development of industrial automation makes PLC training a good investment.

What does this course teach?

Provides you a complete introduction to understanting PLC logic and career building skills needed for this industry. Creating your first projects will teach you solving real world problems in practical projects you may encounter when working with PLC's.

From the Autors:

"We have a few years' experience working with various programming systems used in industrial automation, from PLC to visualization systems (SCADA)... It was our intention to do this course based on practical examples, and to relate it to what I see in my work. It means introducing a measure of problem-solving to the tutorials, along with the knowledge you'll need to write the programs we will work on. We hope my course will be a good introduction to the fascinating world of logical controllers..."

The idea behind the course (and the shown contents) is not bad per se. However, there is a bit of a language barrier, which sometimes makes it hard to understand. Furthermore, it is a bit unorganised, with a strange oder among the videos, videos that are completely black with no sound (so parts are missing), and overall just lack of explanation on some videos.

Hay varios vídeos que no funcionan/están repetidos. No hay respuesta a ninguna de las preguntas. La única razón por la que lo volvería a escoger es que no hay muchos cursos sobre este tema.

The are no examples that represent a typical industrial problem. Many blocks analyzed are too simple, and it's easy to understand them in autonomous way, would have been better use that time to better understand some important block, like functions blocks or create some usefull example with script, that completely misses.

Worst Course ever! There are everywhere gaps, there no any practical example, in some lectures screen gets black until the end of the lecture, the title of the section does not match the content. I dont know who Udemy let this thing going online

1. It not clear that IW64 is coming from where and aw 80 is from where? Sensor O/P will connect at which port and and PLC O/P from which port.In example Ist O/P module detailed and then I/P module and shown from O/P to I/P module which do not have any clarity. 2. Parametrization part 2 video is missing

No the instructor is hard to understand and there are times when there is no video or the screen is recorded so small you can not see what the instructor is doing. There are questions that have been logged for 2 years and still not answered. Also since I was having a hard time understand the instructor I utilized the closed captioning and most of the time that was awful too. Really disappointed with the course.

Get better but is missing simple examples of what can be an operand in the reality of your machine or building. Talk about devices for example, but don't name it enough. The last part is going better, I learned new information about how to use the PLC to read a temp.

One Video is totally black no sound and no video. Overall good. Need more Practical example like how to connect a sensor to PLC in practical and then program in TIA.Need a practical project A to Z how to make a project from start to end. This things make student's knowledge more clear.

I l materiale é organizzato bene, purtroppo la persona che parla ha evidenti problemi con l'inglese e spesso non risulta chiaro ad un primo ascolto.

The Logo! part of the lecture is quite old and outdated. Alot of missing features since Logo! 7 and Logo! 8 came out but the training on ladder/blocks is still relevant.
