Very engaging so far, a lot of exercices and good references. The guy clearly knows what he's talking about and that's always a good sign. Let's see what's next !

Does not always have flowing script and does not always seem sure what he wants to say. If he messes up, he doesn't edit it out. Does things with keyboard shortcuts that a new user would have no idea how to do because he doesn't say how he is doing it e.g. "go to front view". Does not say why something does something: "I'm going to use the letter D. Then I'm going to go to my letter V and move it all the way down so that it snaps to the last vertice. Then I'm going to press W. And with the letter X I'm going to snap the ball right there." The learner has no idea what those letters actually did and the ball was already snapped to the section so no idea what it actually did. Constantly saying he's going to do something but clicking on different things and then once again not explaining why he's doing it. I only have a gist of what is going on from taking other courses before this one or I would be completely lost. He says "I'm going to delete the history (does not click on the correct icon) then he is going to freeze transformation (wasn't very clear what he said and when I finally played it back enough to figure out what he said, he's not actually clicking on the correct symbol again when he says it). I then had to look up in a separate video what exactly delete history and freeze transformation does because he doesn't tell us. Presentation/training needs improvement but if you can get this course on sale, it's still useful to learn some basics.

Excellent starting points for beginners. However you do not have key-bind app that shows your keyboard presses and along with how fast you speak and move (especially when you model something) it's impossible to follow. Sometimes you skim over topics that need deeper analysis, it feels like the teacher is following a tutorial and you're following him following a tutorial = nightmare. I've watched most of the videos at 0.5% speed and sometimes that's even too quick. The course quality for beginners is excellent though I would definitely think about updating/editing the video with mouse/key clicks as it would only take an afternoon. The first bouncing ball video was awesome, take a look at how you constructed that video and re-do the others.

Im a little over halfway through but i have to say this is a great experience and i am learning a lot, i had some very surface level ideas learning from iclone but this has helped me out a lot and has got me practicing more then i have before. It reignited my interest and i really want to get better now. would love to see a follow up class. The instructor is very clear and has a very good voice for teaching.

I am just loving the course. There is just a little thing which I want to mention that is before the video lesson you should show the final result first and then start with the course. It makes it clearer to the learner to know what he/she is doing . BTW thank you for such a great and interesting course

The instructor doesn't explain much of what he's doing. He seems to assume that I already have a working understanding of the Maya interface.

Overall good content, but to this date there's not a single Q&A question answered and the teacher doesn't show or explain what hotkeys they're using half of the time. Hard to follow what's going on the screen.

I'm doing something I rarely ever do - rate a course while still in its early stages. I've abandoned many courses on Udemy, because I can't stand listening to the instructor drone on and on about nothing. Abraham's presentation style is simply fantastic. He's clear and concise and is a pleasure to learn from. Added bonus: his voice isn't like fingernails on a chalkboard.
