It was as I expected - and better. Very concise format, ideal for beginners. But also helpful for experienced writers as a source to go back to in case they get stuck, or are not competely happy with what they have written and are looking for inspiration. Very knowledgeable lecturer.

This course was very easy to follow with lessons that are both approachable and impactful. Each section is well explained and the resources are helpful. This is the kind of instruction you can keep coming back to as you continue to develop your writing.

I liked the style and presenter. I would like to have seen more from them but can't fault what there was. She came across very natural and knowledgeable, and there was no padding eg. extra info to make the course longer for the sake of it. I enjoyed it and will probably do a repeat watching of the course. As I said the only disappointment was there is nothing else on udemy by the same presenter.

Excellent details, great advice. Easy to follow exercises. Lovely scenery to inspire us in the videos too :) I couldn't think of a way to improve this course. It's excellent as it is. I love the book Fishing From the Boat Ramp too. Thank you for this comprehensive writing course and your obvious passion and enthusiasm for writing.

The details, that is important and the writing exercises and her suggestions actually lead me to write instead of thinking about thinking about and then again thinking about and not writing.

This course is a very good "short" course on how to create. The course emphasis is on the "creative" process and not on the edit aspects of writing. This will not be a nuts and bolts class to follow a template and succeed. The course is rather an overall philosophy with "self guided" writing exercises to garner the skills your seeking when you take the course. Everyone creates and imagines differently. This course simply helps you find your path to that process. Overall very well done.

Half way through, and already I feel my writing is better to read, and more fun to write. The course is divided into small, easily digestible chunks of information followed by a short, guided writing exercise. It's easy to fit into my day, as each block takes only around twenty enjoyable minutes. Awesome scenery in the video lectures! A course well worth doing.

Really good course. The short lectures made it easy to stay engaged and I learned heaps. I write a lot of engineering reports which can be a slog. Since starting the course I've learned techniques which will help me to write reports faster and maybe even make them interesting.

Jillian is an experienced writer and teacher, and she hits on the basics in a clear and interesting way, while giving them extra depth that will be thought-provoking for the more seasoned writer. The examples she presents are excellent, and the exercises are fun and useful. Don't miss the extra resources she has included. If you have a work in progress or are just starting out, this course will be helpful.

I have not written for some time, and this course has inspired me to write once again. Jillian passes on her knowledge about the writing process with great ease.
The videos are short, and to the point, with relevant and interesting ideas about the writing process. She provides practical writing exercises which have improved my writing.
The location of her presentations is Central Otago in New Zealand, and the scenery is beautiful! Thank you Jillian, for your wise words on writing.
