I don't think each command need to be presented in details, while the key concept needs to be mentioned since those are the fundamentals. This lecture gives me an impression of too much on practical details but bit less on theory which is the core.

This course is a great overview of hive concepts (also one of the only course available on udemy focused on this topic) . However, there is a few problems: The start of this course was pretty chaotic since many things weren't detailled if you choose using Hortonworks. I wish that the teacher had kept the same interface as he provided. Example and exercices are pretty random and use abstract data. The query are written directly in linux prompt without any kind of syntaxe wich is not helpfull to understand logic behind concepts. I still learn some things but the fact that I wasted half a day setting up the environnement by myself to be able to follow was very frustating. Ressources available are really poor too and most of time I ends up looking topics online by myself.

Code explanation could have been better. Had code been written in good coding practice style. with proper indentations as opposed to writing the entire code in one line, it would have been a lot easier to understand.
