This course is obsolete. Hadoop version and OS version should be mentioned in the course's name. Some bash commands are obsolete, some Hadoop settings are missing, and some scripts are deprecated. QA section for this course has only Qs and no As. Some questions about course notes are 1 year old and those still have no answer. It is difficult to understand what the mentor is saying. I can't say his English is good enough. Pronunciation is bad (sorry)

It's ok. As the audience are from different backgrounds, i suggest the following 1. Speak the new word less clearly. 2. Display the word on the screen. If someone didn't catch the word, they will find it on the screen. Make understanding better.

Good training, especially because of the focus on hands-on and examples, even building a cluster from scratch and turn it upside down several times, that's great, and thanks a lot. I just think it would be important to upgrade the contents to Hadoop v2, which has been around for a long time now, people are actually starting to look for Hadoop v3 upgrade nowadays, so Hadoop v1 is old. I also feel some parts of the explanation or details about configuration vs behavior (for instance, regarding timeouts/periods, purpose of the tasks, etc.) were not enough. Finally, I could not find the scripts being provided as part of the contents (I guess that's Udemy's fault, not the instructor's). I felt the last modules missed an explanation as to why we would do what we were doing before starting the steps, when an Admin would do them, etc. Important topics for Admins, like High-Availability, Tuning or Security would be great for the future. Good training overall and the instructor is very practical, experienced and delivers the information effectively and in short-enough sections. Thanks!

Content are good. User should use the terminal instead of VirtualBox. Sometimes it is hard to see and I have to come close to screen to see what is written. In the beginning , he had to elaborate all the .xml purposes, then start further.

Not sure what the purpose of the course was. Course Description seemed to indicate course would teach how to manage a Hadoop cluster. Course was a review of commands an experienced Administrator would use to troubleshoot a Hadoop cluster. There was no explanation how to use Hadoop, just a group of "here's how to break it, this is what the interface would present, and here's how to fix it." Not what I was expecting.

You people were not interacting directly with the candidates. In this case the course is very poor and i too having a problem with software installation. After installation when I'm click on the reboot windows is not responding to the virtual machine. I'm not able to trace out the problem. so that I'm asking you to help me out of the this. The course is just a shallow introduction and lacks the indepth explanation of concepts. I have also come across few incorrect explanations on some topics so far. Also as Hadoop 2.x is the new standard in Hadoop installations, this course sticks to the old version Hadoop 1.x which is a big negative. I wanted to learn YARN which is very important change in Hadoop 2.x.
