I find the material is presented in a clear and concise way. Reviewing something I do not understand the first time around is made clear by watching a second or even third time.
I have not seen anything that I had not seen in the free of charge material provided by BlackMagic Design.
Systematic walk through a lot of features. Sometimes the comments are insightful, sometimes he just says "play around a bit with these slides and you will get an idea of how they work very quickly." Furthermore, at least at the early stages, this class is very technical. It explains what you can do technically without practical examples of how this would be useful. I might have come into this already knowing quite a bit about the technical aspect. I learned some tweaks here and there and that was definitely useful.
Very good information and the instructor takes his time explaining so you don't get lost. Would like some practice lessons included instead of just telling us to practice.
The course goes over lot of the coloring tools in resolve and gives a nice overview of their usage and relevant details. Recommend this course!
The video shows the location and the navigation to items on the screen (there are a lot of items on the screen, so this is helpful). This is a good match for me as I need to see what and where the controls are located. Oftentimes instructors fly over or go over too quickly the location of items on the screen and then later, I can not find them. This provides ample time on the location of the items on the screen. This is well done.
Great tutorial on color for beginners. Now I am much more confident about color correcting/grading log footage!
I really like the way instructor explained all nuts and bolts of the color grading page in detail, followed by how to use them along with best practices. Great content.
The course teaches you well about balancing colors, effects and beyond. The only suggestion I have is to include color theory and how to choose color combinations, rest is all good.
After watching the course, I am seriously considering to switch from premiere to davinci! Thank you for putting it together.
this course is a good match. He went into depth on using most of the controls in the color section. Filled in a lot of gaps I had.
Just finshed the tuto ! I should say, what concerning the content, it s pretty good, you'll learn the whole section of color in DVR ; It s a good begining for newbies and the teacher speaks well, quietly and it sounds good ! Every tools are displayed and i learned some great features ! Of course i missed a few things but DVR is a complex soft ! but this tuto is a great way to begin with color correction ! Thanks to the teacher who did a great job, the leçon is well constructed and organised :-) JFP
I just didn’t find the author easy to follow, he seemed to jump around and mention things that weren’t in the part of the program that the section was supposed to be about Wasted $
I was expecting more about technics instead of pure learning of tools feature. As I previously attend the "DaVinci Resolve 15: The Complete Video Editing Course" I saw many duplicate topics.
Updated review: The course instructor responded to my concerns in less than 24 hours the parts missing from the course are now available. Orignal Review: Important aspects of this course are missing. The curves section of the course is completely missing. There is a curves intro video than it skips to the qualifier section. This completely defeats the purpose of the course, you need to know how to use the color controls in order to color grade. I want my money back! There is also supposed to be videos for download to follow along as stated on the course description, there are no files for download in this course.
