I also possess a SAQA Further Education and Training Certificate: Measurement, Control and Instrumentation. This is South African but recognized in many countries internationally.

The course will start by introducing you to Factory Talk View Studio and the Factory Talk Directory

Then we shall create our first project.

Great learning, since rockwell ftview current version is 13, this course needs some migration from old version to new version changes.

1. Include the software download and installation section. 2. Update the lessons to latest rockwell version 3. Can be made like developing a real project step by step. e.g. Mixing tank project or Ventilation control or Temperature control application, right from scratch step by step. With defining popups, global objects, tags, alarms etc. 4. One dedicated section for global objects and popups with parameter passing can be included. 5. Please include a section for REPORTS. Import/Export of tags in Excel and generate reports in customized format. 6. Include a section for the licensing information 7. Include one example for redundant server system. 8. One real example of showing Client PC configuration. How the overall architecture networked and machines configured.

Great course, I used this as a learning and refreshing course. I have some experience working with HMIs but I have never been trained on them. I learned a lot. Only thing that I would change is to include a practice assignment at the end of each lecture to help re-enforce what was just learned. great course, I'm going to continue with more now.

This should be actually called a demo instead of a course. It worked fine for me as I just wanted a very fast introduction to this product and also had already experiences with other brands and so familiar with the main concepts. I don't think it would have worked if I were in need of a proper course, with less experience and in need to develop an actual application the day after. There are always very few examples taken from the real world and this applies to other courses by Jeff I have paid. Often the video lessons have gaps and so it's difficult to follow the steps he takes. The last section about PID is completelly out of topics. A valued 3.5 hours demo anyway, expecially if taken with the sale offer.
