What you will learn
Discuss (qualitatively and quantitatively) various fluid mechanic phenomena
Analyze flow problems
Derive, smplify, and solve equations for fluid mass and momentum conservation
Why take this course?
This class provides students with an introduction to principal concepts and methods of fluid mechanics. Topics covered in the course include pressure, hydrostatics, and buoyancy; open systems and control volume analysis; mass conservation and momentum conservation for moving fluids; viscous fluid flows, flow through pipes; dimensional analysis; boundary layers, and lift and drag on object

I think this class is better suited for people looking for review rather than an introduction to fluid mechanics. I think the instructor is very knowledgeable but it was hard for me to follow the math he was doing sometimes; however, I haven't taken calculus in almost 4 years so I am certainly out of practice. I am beginning an environmental engineering masters soon and was looking for an introduction to some of the concepts I know will be discussed in the first semester. I'm glad to have been exposed to some more calculus by taking this course.

The pacing was kind of weird, at times you were going very slow through things that were well below the level of the course. When you switched over to fluid statics, however, the pacing quickly became a lot and it was hard to follow without rewinding every few seconds -- especially during the explanation of finding the center of pressure and throughout the example. Overall, I still gained a lot from the video. Thank you :)
