Amazing , how the course delves into the depth of LLM and integrates the concept of prompt engineering with gpt. A section on langchin would have made the tutorial more wholesome but nevertheless, the concept of LLM - BERT , gpt and T5 has been covered in depth with attention to both theory and practical. Amazing , Great work .

This has been an excellent, detailed, easy to follow with code course on Large Language Models, specifically BERT and GPT. However, the Reinforcement Learning part is a complete waste of time which is a shame considering how well the course was structured and delivered for LLMs.

I bought this course before the revision and thought I was getting a course on how to do reinforcement learning with chatGPT, like prompts and stuff... Now, after the revision, it seems that the name of the course is adjusted to match the content better... The RL part is traditional RL, and doesn't help you with the RL with GPT models.

Clearly explained... It is a fun course that explains in detail the basics of Transformer design and the workings of tokenization, sequence and how Transformers do them - like BERT (I'm currently 1/2 way through) - and it isn't really code along, which I personally prefer and enjoy, though it has pre-programed code examples which are easy to follow...

The course covers interesting topics, the instructor is good and explains everything clearely and in depth. However, I was expecting to be provided with all the codes which is presented in the video lessons. To my surprise it is not being provided directly. In the Q and A section some code can be copied. I suggest to provid every bit of the code for us students to be able to use. So this course is a more theoretical approach and less hands-on.

The lectures are very good. But the notebooks aren't provided. That wouldn't be a real problem except when we can't see all of a cell. Case in point in lecture 26 where the second sentence is cut-off and you never scroll to show the rest of it. I was able to reconstruct the sentence as later the tokens are shown. It looks like Q&A, which seems to be the only way to ask questions, is not being monitored. Two people have asked about where to obtain a data file and neither has been answered.

This class is presented on a high level. That's bad. Abstract and complex concepts need to be define, simplified, and carefully elaborated upon. That doesn't happen.

Sinan does a great job explaining the concepts, the intuition, and some of the math behind Transformers, with an excellent deep dive into BERT models and application of HuggingFace models & infrastructure. However, this detailed approach could be extended to models like GPT which include decoders - that are not present in BERT. The sections on Reinforcement Learning, GPT, and OpenAI environments by Justin are not as well presented. Also, there are no quizzes or hands on exercises to reinforce the learning for students.
