So far the instructors are covering a lot of good information from what APPS you can use when flying a drone. How to get clearance when flying near airports, and what the different DJI model drones are.

Excellent course. Enjoyed the instruction and the course was well laid out. My only comment was that people taking this course are drone beginners....and there were a couple of times I wanted more specific comments/guidance. My biggest concern, and probably the same for most beginners, is how to get yourself out of problems...that is, get your drone back and landed safely. The course cautioned us on the drone return feature on the DJI controller....but I think this course could use a separate block on just that issue. What do you do, and more importantly, how you do it, to return your drone back to you safely. This issue was glossed over during the class. I still think this class was outstanding and this was my only issue. I thought the Lightroom tutorials were excellent. Thanks!!

This course provides a good, comprehensive overview of DJI drones and how to use them for photography. It does a little bit of everything from regulations, to flying, to taking good photos, to editing those photos. The instructors are knowledgeable and engaging. My only criticism is that the course is a bit dated now -- my new Mavic 3 uses the DJI Fly app rather than the DJI Go 4 app. Most of the features are similar, but not always located in the same places. More critically, DJI has removed some of the functionality that was available in the earlier drone, so the new one won't necessarily do everything discussed in this course. That small criticism aside, the content was generally excellent. Just the section on Lightroom was worth the price of admission.

I'm very happy I took this course. It went above and beyond my expectations and covered a LOT of valuable information beyond just taking photos with a drone. If I were to add one thing to the course it would be more tips on controlling the drone while taking photos and/or to get to the optimal shots to take photos. It was covered a little.

My background is property management. I also Own a painting company and was a vendor for apartment complexes. I bought this course to open my own drone photography company and this course is very thorough. They do a good job of easing the overwhelming feeling of entering a new industry. The photoprocessing portion of the course was exactly what I was looking forward to! LOADS of valuable info is shared in the course that will immediately improve my drone work! However... The content on the drones itself is outdated and should ideally be updated to include newer DJI drones, such as the Air 2, Air 2s, Mini 2, Mini 3 Pro... all much more capable drones than what was "modern" 2 years ago. Even the DJI Go4 app was sunset in favor of the DJI Fly app. I would have rated this as a 5-star rating if it had been updated to include these new drone concepts and models; as they are more pertinent and capable in 2022.
