I have virtually no coding experience - I've spent maybe 1-2 hours playing around with Perl/Bash a few years ago and that's it. This course has worked extremely well for someone of my beginner-level status. Most lectures are paced perfectly, though very rarely there is a lecture or two that moved fast enough that I had to pause and try to figure out what just happened. This is a very mild issue though and overall the course is wonderful.

Great. There's what you need to become a 2d game developer, if you don't want to use unity or unreal engine

I think he's doing a really great job so far. I just hope he buys a new mic eventually! section 6: his mic is much better. moved through pretty quick so it was hard to write code as he was inserting it (albeit not the best way to learn). I think this this course turned out to be my exact skill level so my skills have improved quite a lot. I wish I understood more about the introduced camera system

What I liked about this class was the logical way it was laid out. Each short video started with a goal laid out, and often there were sidebar moments when he would explain possible mistakes. The game effects were pretty cool, and I think I could use Game Maker now to explore some of my own game concepts.

So far the lecturer has been good, though it is starting slow. However I am really excited by the topics he covers as he speeds up
