I was not expecting the religious element. Davis was not using a wholistic strength based point of view when discussing these challenges and in doing so could potentially cause more damage than good when working with young people.

A well presented course expounding on Chap Clark’s view on systemic abandonment as the cause of adolescent anxiety, depression, and mental health disorders. Contains good direction for youth workers to provide practical, pastoral help and get students the clinical help when needed.

This was a really good overview of the social environment adolescents are living in and how we as youth workers can respond systemically to help.
