Data Analytics is the practice of using data to drive business strategy and performance. It includes a range of approaches and solutions, from looking backward to evaluate what happened in the past to looking forward to do scenario planning and predictive modelling.Data Analytics spans all of the functional businesses to address a continuum of opportunities in Information Management, Performance Optimisation and Analytic Insights. Organizations now realize the inherent value of transforming these big data into actionable insights. Data science is the highest form of big data analytics that produce the most accurate actionable insights, identifying what will happen next and what to do about it.

Hadoop is an open-source software framework for storing data and running applications on clusters of commodity hardware. It provides massive storage for any kind of data, enormous processing power and the ability to handle virtually limitless concurrent tasks or jobs. Hadoop is not just an effective distributed storage system for large amounts of data, but also, importantly, a distributed computing environment that can execute analyses where the data is.

In this course, detailed explanation about hadoop framework  and its ecosystems has been provided. All the concepts are explained in detail with examples and business use cases as case studies. Also, latest technologies in big data area like apache spark, apache kafka, Mongo DB are explained. In addition, Interview questions  with respect to each ecosystem and resume preparation tips are included.

Worst course on Udemy. Instead of this you can read tutorialspoint.com and understand concepts clearly. In fact he has copied most of the content from this site. In many videos he tells this concept will be covered in next video but that next video never comes. Regretting by decision to buy this course. It was too late to ask for refund.

The speaker is repeating over and over the same concepts without adding new information as if he was not sure himself how it works.

Speaker con pesante accendo indiano, corso disorganizzato, molte ripetizioni nella presentazione, disordine e difficoltà di lettura del materiale su mobile.

there is some audio issue with one chapter. Some chapters are not even there in course for instance, in kafka introduction, he says that in next class, he was going to explain the flow with example but there was no following chapter having this but instead, it went to Oozy. this is a beginner course for all of these components.

Spoken English needs to improve. Technical skills are good. However, ensure that you check what have you delivered in your previous lectures since you tend to repeat the same things again. But keep up the good work. I certainly learnt a lot.

The author of the course is experienced, he is able to translate his experience into his teaching makes this crystal clear by comparison or by examples. Good place to learn about Big Data.

The course content is very good. It will provide a good understanding. Presentation can be improved. The other reviews have highlighted the flaws quite well and I don't need to comment on that. I am more concerned about the knowledge.

Overall its good. It covers basic concepts and application code. It would be good if it explains with good real time examples.

Is interesting course with good information but also with some of videos that doesn't explain the correct behavior because lot of command fail and we don't see the correction or reason of failure. Some topics, more towards the end, are not sufficiently in-depth so less interesting.

Update: I have updated my rating with an increase because though the presentation is not enjoyable, but content is and I am learning from it. Very good for the beginner. Hope you polish it and add some more content on 1. Twitter setup with Flume 2. Kafka and Spark integration.

The instructor goes through the course just typing in example code or copy pasting it in without any explanation of the principles or concepts of the underlying technologies. There's no high level overviews, no reasoning behind which technologies make sense in different situations. It's literally just "type in this and this happens" which is a poor way to explain in my opinion.

Very general hadoop introduction. I was expecting a lot more talk about kafka, but there's isn't. That was a disappointment also not enough code demonstration is another issue.

This is great tutorial. It just a practical approach. Explanation are very practical. Although it has less diagram for explanations, it has great content. This is great if you want to move to hadoop.
