It's an interesting--and broad--overview that would be useful to incoming freshmen. However, in terms of production values, I was distracted by the grammatical mistakes in some of the materials. I would still say it's worth a watch if you're concerned about the big world of universities.

I think a class like this needs to be taught to high school seniors before they graduate. So many go to college and have no idea what they are in for. They end up dropping out as a result. This course prepares anyone for what they are about to face in college. Students are more prepared for college.

My daughter was extremely excited about starting college, but I must admit I was terrified. I convinced her to go through this course together and I am so glad for it. This instructor always has excellent courses. I have been to college, but I am going back soon to finish my degree. I didn't have a guide the first time, and it was hard to transition into the lifestyle. I decided I needed a little guidance since college had changed a little since I went. This course was perfect. It explained everything I needed to know and more. The instructor explained everything better than I expected. I could tell he had experience with college life. I highly recommend this course.

The course cut right to the chase when it came to explaining the transition from high school or workforce into the college life. It really placed things in perspective. The class really helped me understand what I was getting into if I increased my workload and units. The instructor was clear and concise. Very beneficial course. This is my first course on udemy and it turned out to be very effective. I recommend this course for anyone about to go to college. It isn't just for high school seniors. People of all ages are going back to college. It is overwhelming when you don't know anyone, and don't know how to handle it. This course will help you mentally prepare for what lies ahead. I enjoyed the way this course was set up. I found the tips and resources to be utmost useful. I feel that this book not only applies to freshmen students but also for those returning and or transferring to a higher education institution. I was amazed by the thorough coverage nailing the points most people ask when its too late. The audio was helpful to follow along with the reading and I found the power-points to help a lot. From socialization to what I found to be the of most important topic, studying; it covers all. I am grateful once again that I opted to take this course. What I liked best about this course is that you get it as a lecture, in Power Point and as an eBook, so it is really easy to go through the material. The information provided in this course is very varied, from how to chose the right subjects for you, how to study, write a paper or handle your finances, to how to handle relationships with friends and roommates. I think it is a good course for any future college student, it offers a lot of practical advice in an accessible language.
