The following are a few tips for better mentoring:

Think about your protégé or mentee first - Every individual should think of his mentee first and coach’s personal interests should take a backseat. Do not mix your personal issues with your professional life. Keep them separate.

Never underestimate your mentee- Do not neglect any of the mentees, instead work together and also listen to them as well. Never try to impose your ideas on any member. Avoid de-motivating any mentee.

Discuss - Before implementing any new coaching idea, it must be discussed with each and every mentee on an open platform. Never ever discuss with anyone separately as the other mentees feel left out and reluctant to perform and contribute to the coach-mentee relationship.

Understand others - For better results, try to understand your mentee well. Do not just always talk business, it is okay if you go out with your mentees for lunch or catch a movie together. It improves the relations and strengthens the bond among the coach and mentees. Coach and mentees must trust each other for maximum output.

Very annoying computer voice. Nothing precise on this course only general idea. Nothing about coaching.

Ich fand den Kurs sehr aufschlussreich/gut strukturiert. Jedoch würde ich mir am Ende des Kurses eine Art Präsentation zum Downloaden als Zusammenfassung wünschen. Des Weiteren hatte ich manchmal "kleinere" technische Probleme->Das System hat sich immer mal wieder "aufgehängt."

It definitely gives an insight to the world of mentoring. A generic slideshow for any professional looking for tips to mentor people or become a mentee themselves. There are some technical glitches here and there but the content is informative. One downside would be that there are no assignments or quizzes to showcase the knowledge we have learnt from this course.

Quite comprehensive and informative. Give an idea on how to develop a proper mentoring and coaching plan. However, would be better if the designing of the mentoring process can be explained in more detail.

too superficial, ı was expecting more detailed one, not enough explanation. plus it is about orienting new employees. On the other hand, one can provide mentorship on one specific subject for one employee. How can they proceed?

The slides are quite colourful and busy, so sometimes hard to follow. So far it's alright, I'm mentoring more different type of employees, so some part don't seem to be that applicable.

I enjoyed every bit of this video learning, as it is my passion to mentor and coach others i found relevant tips on how i can improve on my mentoring and even become a professional mentor/ coach. I thought the frameworks of how to approach and think were very helpful, the material could easily cross over for how to manage people in general and how to conduct a plan if taking over a new team.

Primeiro talvez nos EUA seja diferente, mas aqui no Brasil tratamos mentoring e coaching diferente e em vários capítulos o curso tratou da mesma forma e eu espera ver áreas comuns, pois existem, e como tratar as diferentes. É sempre do mesmo jeito, não há exercícios no meio, para o meu perfil se tornou cansativo, além de não me trazer nada novo e ainda me confundir. Sorry.

Very disappointing. The voiceover is monotonous, repetitive and dull. The course script is written in dry corporate language and sounds like it's lifted from a text book. The insights shared were very thin on the ground, despite the course outline looking comprehensive. I learned very little from this.

I was expecting new and transformation ideas, and what I get was never ending power point slides read by a voice on the back. Not engaging. In addition, this program was not about coaching. Only mentoring. Nevertheless I will try to use some tips in my professional life.
