Section 2 is not having any thing. Links are not working. But overall very interesting sessions for beginners.

I think it is a good course. It is a complete, and comprehensive course. Personally, i know a little about chess, so i am skipping most of the series. I had to say that, because it is the truth.

Very slow start, but its understandable. Coming from a few years of casual experience first few hours are very basic

This introduction to chess course contains a lot of fine details, which are given as explanations that are clear and simple to understand. This makes the experience of learning about the game very engaging and worth making time for.

Really basic -- would be nice to have the capability to speed up video ... lots of repetition (and really boring speakers)

If you are looking to get into chess or are a beginner and know the piece movements and basic rules, this is the course for you! This should be your first step into the world of chess IMO. It covers a lot of ground from basic rules to advanced tactics within a short amount of time. The explanation is crystal clear and easy to understand with plenty of examples and challenges/puzzles for you to solve! Why the 4.5 star rating? It's because some of the links to the quizzes and syllabus don't work but that's OK because the in - video explanations were enough for me as I knew most of the things and was looking to revise. Even though i am familiar with chess, I learned alot!

Too much of the screen (~40%) is occupied by the brands logo and details; this is unnecessary. Some of the instructors voices are too labored and the overall videos are too long. I preferred Kairav's teaching style the most, particularly when he suggests pausing the video to think about moves.

The Course is excellent for the people whose main objective is to get versed with the rules and basics concepts used in the Chess Game. However, if you want to get more good in the world of Chess than playing the game is more important and this advise you will also get from the instructors at several point in the video also.

Top of the line course!!! A pleasant stroll through all the rudiments of the game. Friendly, communicative and factual. As accomplished masters of chess and experienced lecturers, and already active among the leading exponents of the game, Kairav Joshi- Dalton Perrine- Arne Jochens and Kostya Kavutskiy provide an easy to understand and follow step by step walkthrough of the mechanisms of the game coupled to ample examples. Topping it off with a bunch of well compiled self-test “puzzle packs” for review and application of the whole syllabus covered, the course concludes by providing tips and addresses for the aspiring learner and an open invitation to join the online chess academy (chessuniversity.com) as well as the opportunity to discuss any queries or prospects through the email address provided. Thanks chaps, All the best Ioannis

Interesting course. Chess isn't for everyone, just the persons who can think strategically and see the global picture. Perfect for learning how to think 2 to 3 steps ahead. Recommend.
