What is this class?

This is a step-by-step class where I will walk you through the process of creating your very own run cycle using a popular 2D animation software called Moho/ Anime Studio.

Why take this class?

I believe animation is an incredibly rewarding, relaxing, and fun thing to do. Let's say you already animate, whether you do it as a hobby or freelance, but you want to get better - that's why I made this class. Not only because animation is fun, but to sharpen those skills you already have!

How is this class taught?

I broke up this class into the simplest of steps. First we will do an overview of the character how it works to know best how to use it for animation. Then I will break down the important poses needed for a run cycle using the pose to pose method. Then we will create our in-betweens and tighten up the animation.

McCoy Buck has that special way of teaching that is inviting and never intimidating. He gets it. He understands what it is like to try and learn complicated software. His approach is always clear and concise and with just the right amount of pace (not too slow or too fast). What's also great is he explains not just the "how" but more importantly the "why". Knowing why you do something a certain way gives context to the student that ultimately helps them retain the information. The internet is filled with all kinds of tutorials from all kinds of instructors. Weeding out the good from the bad can be a trial and error process. But when you see McCoy Buck's name as the author, you know it's high quality and you'll come away learning what you wanted to learn.

I am a beginner using Moho and was able to easily follow the instructions in this course! In addition to learning how to animate a run cycle, I learned how to use several Moho shortcuts and features. McCoy does a great job explaining how the principles of animation apply to the steps being taught in the course. I would recommend this course for any skill level with Moho!

Great course! In spite of being a short one, McCoy Buck covers most of animation principles in a simple and practical manner, giving tips and tricks along the way and achieving a very nice-looking run cycle at the end! This is not a course for beginners in Moho. However, the topics covered are related to the animation process in general, which can be applied in any software or project. That makes this course relevant even for those who never opened the software but still want to learn more about any-mation. Recommended!

I love this course. It's clear and concise. The teacher McCoy offer a lots of great tips for animating a run cycle with Moho. Of course this course is not a beginner level course, it assume that you have some basic knowleges with Moho aka Anime Studio like using bone, timeline, layer, keyframe etc.. Anyway i highly recommend this course .
