It works on the principle of down streaming messages from FCM servers to user's app and upstream messages from user's apps to FCM servers. Firebase comes with a lot of new features along with the GCM infrastructure.

Android Studio is the official integrated development environment for Google's Android operating system, built on JetBrains' IntelliJ IDEA software and designed specifically for Android development.

First of all, thank you for making this course, it did help me a bit. The review: So the design looks good and the idea is great and interesting. I think it could be done so much better. The app is looking good, however, built in a fragile way. I would use some android architecture, because the code is very messy and hard to read. I noticed not once that just at the end of the lesson you run the app to test it, and it's very hard to follow like this, especially when you don't always explain what you are doing. Your mic volume is very low and many times I didn't understand what you are saying and couldn't follow… Overall I did learn a lot because of the problems I had to solve when converting the code to MVVM, And because the app touches many subjects it's a good practice, so thank you :)

Excellent course, follow Mr. Ali step by step and you will have a working app. Small bugs might happen but they can be sorted out. Thanks for an excellent course. Would have liked additional content on storing firebase content locally and not online as large read write access means charges.

There are allot of issues with this app and they are not addressed at all while the coarse develops. Also, Android Studios makes allot of assumptions as to what your intent is and if yours does not match, it crashes. The instructor never clarifies which path he is taking so you are left having to trial and error and do allot of debugging while doing the coarse.

The entire code is hefty and full of un-resolvable errors, poor implementation, outdated dependencies, poor xml formatting of tags and attributes, incomplete references of libraries, all a total sum of non-working application at the end

This course is really good! However, it's still unclear how to add contacts to the contacts list and writing comments above each function or complicated piece of code would make it perfect.

Doesn't explain things as he goes so you kinda keep wondering why he did some things the way he did. Not very organized either. I felt the need to go online and search for several things to understand what he was doing on screen and, more importantly, why? Most of the code he writes also doesn't work. You will need to spend a lot of time Googling to find out how to fix errors. Also, the coding style is full of errors and redundant code. Finally, although not related to the course, you can see he uses uTorrent to download pirated stuff, like Need For Speed game, which you can see in his downloads folder. Etics aside, this is not something a "teacher" would do.
