I'm a mac user, and although I don't think that will be a huge problem, the video is not up to date with the software needed. for example, firebug doesn't exist anymore, and notepad++ is only available for windows

The course seems a bit outdated at this point and the project you build in it is not very exciting. For a beginner learning HTML and CSS, I would recommend Jonas Schmedtmann's course over this one.

Thank you for making this so easy and fun the only thing I couldn't get was firebug, as Mozilla has gotten rid of it

It is very slowly and the explaination about why you have to do certain steps could be clearer.
In the end it was quite a nice start to CSS and HTML. You can listen and keep up with the writing when the speed is x1.75. #savetime

course is great, but the firebug extension no longer exist on firebug. And i was finding It hard to find an alternative so following along learning about margin , padding, border etc was a bit tricky. Great course though

The course provides a basic grounding in using HTML and CSS. The instructor does tend to wander a bit during the lectures, which make some of the videos a little trying to watch. Overall, if you're just looking to get a handle on the basics and you're patient with the delivery, this is a practical course.

Its a nice introdutory course, but the project could be a little more complex with images, sidebars, horizontal or vertical navbars, photo galleries. It also lacks some short explanation about the display propertie (inline, inline-block, block, etc). Sometimes the teacher repeats some instructions that end up costing some time. Yet is a nice course (I am enjoying it).
