It was a great experience, but I wanted to know more details to create AddOn Instructions and MSG development to read Controllers Faults. I would like to know if you have worked to create Logix Safety PLC as well. Thanks!

Great intro to more advanced programming. Much of this is used for communications between equipment, such as different vender machines. If you can master the Produce/Consume and the MSG, then you should have no issues with line intergration.

Each topic is repeated 2 or 3 times. There is a summary video at the end of each topic in which is repeated the same info given on the main topic. Need to review some topics more deeply with more practical examples. I had to look for youtube videos better explained. I felt the teacher was limited to read the slides.

This is my 3rd course with Jeff Sharman and all three have been excellent. These courses present training in how to use the known as ControlLogix. It does not teach you how to be a control engineer. For the scope of this course, this, and all the others I have taken have been most wonderful and I highly recommend any training offered by Jeff Sharman to you. Jeff is an excellent presenter. He speaks clearly and slowly in a manner that it is easy to understand him. The course material is presented in a logical 1st then 2nd then 3rd manner. He is technically expert on the subject matter. Further, he quickly returns answers to my questions. I plan to use Jeff as a technical consultant as time passes outside of this course, and outside Udemy. I thank Udemy for providing such an excellent instructor and his many courses of instruction. I am a control engineer over 20+ years. I primary work in large chemical plants on DCSs. There are always PLCs inter-dispersed amongst the equipment so one must be conversent on them. I have found (now = 2020Dec30) that prospective employers are increasingly interested in my ControlLogix skills. Courses like those offered by Jeff Sharman will be key to my successful future.

Now that I am using this stuff on a daily basis at work, the course makes much more sense, in that I now know WHY I am doing what I am doing, and it sticks in the brain a little better. Thanks so much, Jeff! Chris Hart

I think he should always provide a detailed explanation of the exercises. He says that someone asked him not to provide answers to the exercises. I think that is ridiculous. Why give exercises if there is no solution provided. I am wondering how many people actually contact the instructor for the answers. My experience is that if something requires extra effort, people simply wont do it. If he claims that people don't want the solutions because they want to try is first and if they are stumped, then they ask for the solution, I say that they probably will not complete the task. I always want to see the solutions to exercises right away so that I can give it a try and not have to wait to see the solution. Moreover, I think you lose customers if you make them have to wait... for anything.
