What's this course all about?
After Effects is an amazing program that can help you create motion graphics, visual effects, and titles that make your videos better, but it can be intimidating to try out. In this 60-minute course, you'll learn the magic of keyframes - the basis of creating motion graphics in After Effects.
You'll take the title card that you created in the first Dive into After Effects: Understanding the Basics course, and you'll introduce each element of your title card in a unique way. These include motion, scale, opacity, and rotation animations; trim path animations; and 3D transitions.
This class is perfect for video creators, designers, and everyone who wants to learn After Effects in an non-intimidating way. We recommend taking the Dive into After Effects: Understanding the Basics course first. By the end of the class, you'll have the basic knowledge to start animating graphics and dive even further into the world of After Effects.
Animate a title card for your brand (or your favorite brand) within After Effects. This assignment will teach you how to use keyframes to introduce different elements (text, images, shapes) to the audience. If you are brand new to After Effects, take the first course in the Dive Into After Effects series to learn how to design your own title card directly within After Effects

This was great learned loads I can definitely use. Two things could be improve this though - one was the swing animation when you asked us to download a plugin for the anchor point, the link no longer exists, so I just ploughed on regardless. And secondly the resource file you get at the start - it would be good to start us off with a starter file to go through the process of adding the key frames ourselves - I just went though and deleted the keyframes in order to see what you were doing. Besides that, loads of useful stuff here.
Great course for beginners, definitely learned a lot and I'm eager to try out the stuff for myself, since I was only able to watch and not work on my own project in parallel. Again, great introduction to After Effects.
Phil, I love taking your classes. You are a natural speaker, and very easy to understand. Looking forward to the next class :)
Curso sencillo donde se aprenden ciertas herramientas y conceptos indispensables en el uso de After Effects.
I really liked the project based tutoring because this way we know how to apply the tools we are using. Knowing all the tools and not knowing how to use them is like not knowing anything at all. I hope to see more project-based courses soon.
Well paced and easy to follow along with. The only thing I get lost on occasionally is when he uses hot keys as I can't remember all of those at the moment unless I write it down.
It is a very basic course. However, i learned Ae 3 years ago and this course helped me to update and remember the basics in animation
Love this little course about Motion Graphics in After Effects. It's so precise and clean in the instructions an examples. Thanks. /Bo
Great job. I found all necessary data in the videos for animation. Explanation is simple, easy to understand.
Great job in presenting a lot of information in a short time. At times its a little too fast in adding elements and not giving us time to catch up as we work along side with you, but your explanations are great to a beginner of AE! Thanks for a great course!
Phil is excellent with pacing out instructions and very thorough with explaining how to achieve each animatin.
I think this course is a great way to enter the world of motion graphics. Phil Ebiner develops the topic from the basics of After Effects and have a way of explaining clear and accurate.
