What you will learn

How to package your Unreal game for iOS and Android

How to set up your game on Google Play

How to set up you game on Apple iTunes Connect

Learn to work with common issues in getting your game working on mobile

Why take this course?

This lesson summarizes all that I have learned from my experience in publishing our first mobile game so your experience in making your own mobile game will go more smoothly. In this lesson, I’ll show you some of the issues I had building a game on mobile. We will discuss things like limitations in joint count, polygon count, and shader complexity. Then we will go through the process of setting up Unreal for developing for Android. We’ll show how to install the correct Android SDK for Unreal and how to move from development to deployment. We’ll upload our game to the Google Play store and set up things like achievements, leaderboard, and in-app purchases. From there we’ll port our project over to the Mac using Mac-In-Cloud, get our mobile provisioning profiles from the Apple Developer site, and upload our game to iTunes Connect.

More about the Instructor:

Chad Morgan started his career at LucasArts where, as a newbie to the industry, was fortunate enough to work with some very talented mentors who taught him how to use Maya. Ever since then, Chad has been trying to pay it forward by sharing what he has learned, first by giving lectures at Autodesk Master Classes, then publishing an article in #d world Magazine, posting tutorials on YouTube, and finally teaming up with 3dmotive. Chad Morgan currently lives in Lake Forest, CA with his wife Carol and his son Xander.

It has a lot of valuable information. Unfortunately it is quite outdated, but it was expected (last update on 2016).

Thank you very much! What takes days to understand are thought in minutes for publishing! Very recommended!

Personally I've found this course very underwhelming and disappointing, it could've been a lot better. I feel like the instructor didn't plan the course properly as he made lots of corrections through out the videos, so my suggestion is to watch the entire course first and then only start to implement. Most of the information can be easily found with a google search, this course might have been pretty decent when it first came out but at the moment it is nothing special and it s heavily overpriced. If you are an indie developer try to save money on the developer licenses rather than spending money here. Again you can access much more up to date information if you search online (youtube). The instructor skips lots of important information in publishing such as setting up ads for the game or setting up privacy policy info by saying since this is just a tutorial we don't need to do that. In the end you will not see an example of the tutorial game being published on the store. Overall, in my opinion this course is very barebone and poorly structured. Paying 29$ for this course is a mistake :D

Very useful course, talks you through getting your project onto the service you need, in my case Google Play. Only reason I didn't give this 5 stars is there is no Blueprint set up of App purchases, so i still don't know if I need Blueprints to sell the game on Google Play. A very good course and a must if your having difficulty getting onto the Developer sites.
