What you will learn

Have a 2D character that they can use in projects such as animated short films

Why take this course?

Why create such a simple 2D character? Because we can use this type of character to quickly accomplish goals and produces results. With creating an 3D animated short film, creating a character can take upto a week, if not longer. Here, with this course, we will be able to create a working character within the hour, and with simple modification, we can make endless characters.

In this course we will go through the process of creating a 2D character that will be able to animate with. We will not being going through the animation process of using these character in this course, but we can see how simple it is.

Another reason to use character such as the ones that we will create in this course, we can render over a dozen frames a minute, where if we did a short film in 3D, we could be upto ten minutes for a single frame.

Simple, clear instructions, non-hurried. Best to know Blender 2.8 moving mechanics first because this course hones exactly on making 2-d animation in Blender 2.8. Very good course!

The instructor is concise and goes straight to the point. I very pleased with the time I took to me to take this course and its cost. This is what I expected from the course.

Make sure you do a blender course before this one because you'll need the basics covered in order to follow what he is doing

This course really helped me to become more interested in 2d animation. I love to work with blender, and with this sweat little course I now be able to make 2 d characters in blender too. Wow!

Spoken description of current action is way to fast, often sounding jumbled or unintelligible. Even the captions were misidentifying keywords.

This is a great course. I learned so much. It is really hard to find anything about using blender for simple 2d stuff. This course is exactly what I was looking for.

I find that while I can get most of what you are trying to teach, I often find that your instructions are not clear enough, such as why or what we are doing exactly, How things work or why they aren't working, and almost all of my results come out opposite of what you are doing. Like i see your faces always being inverted, mine do that as well but i would think you would fix that then make a video with the solution. it seems you are to often fixing mistakes in the lessons that it throws off what we are actually supposed to be doing and why and how. So clearer instruction as to what and why we are doing something, not having so many mistakes in the video and fixing them on the fly, and if you do have mistakes show how to fix them in case we come across them as well rather than rushing past them. A lot of the lessons are wrongly named as well.

Just designing a 2D character in blender. Useful, (yes I picked up some design techniques) but wouldn't recommend for absolute beginner as doesn't go over keys, or interface.

This is a really poor set of tutorials - if you've spent more than 5 minutes with blender before, you won't learn anything (whilst being bored to tears)

It might be helpful if the background image is shut off to cut down on the confusion when rigging.. I did find some of the info helpful. Not what I expected.
