I am new to XML and I just want to get a basic understanding of what it is and how it works. So far, so good. No complaints.

Yes, so far this course is perfect for me. The instructor is very good, and broke down the subject matter into short chapters (a few minutes each). This is good, a person won't lose interest. The instructor explains everything in a simple manner, and uses good diagrams.

Very repetitive. This information could have been covered in half the time and more information could have been covered.

Basic introduction of XML lacks a little more details on the subject, but over all OK for somebody that don't have any knowledge of XML. Good course to get your toes wet.

as far as explanations on what the language is, its great. The delivery is dry and very unenthusiastic, as well as no practice examples to show how it works in a real world application. Overall its not a complicated language and the course does what it needs to convey the information.

Too basic, and therefore too minimal for a short course. Also too many typos, grammatical errors, plus a few errors that contradict the lesson he's teaching (e.g., <car-color></Car-Color>). I would not feel able to recommend this class.

The insulting truth of this video series is that as short as they are , they're actually about 8-10 times as long as they needed to be to delivery exactly the same level of information. Four lessons literally just repeat what was said in other videos, and has almost the exact same visual accompaniment. There was never any discussion in the course why these things even matter, what they could possibly be used for, or why it was worth taking the time to watch them. As cheap as this course it it's worth little more than a couple bucks, and honestly with youtube not even that. For a dollar or two, this would be a good and interesting buy for someone who didn't know how to start, which is the only reason it gets any stars at all.

Not badly executed--it's fairly clear, and the instructor has a pleasant manner. But I'm not sure how helpful it really is. If you have a minimal familiarity with HTML it's not very enlightening. If you don't, then the explanations aren't adequate. There's a difference between a description and a definition, or an example and a definition. Showing me an apple and explaining that this is an example of a fruit may be technically accurate, but it's not the same thing as defining the word "fruit."

This is great for someone who knows very little about XML. The instructor does slowly and repeats main points.

This is not a complete course. It's just a few videos on a few items. As mentioned in the course description you must be familiar with html and CSS to find this course helpful. Video length can be cut in half as the presenter keeps repeating the same stuff over and over.

Very basic and repetitive. The material could have been covered in 15-20 minutes. Definitely not worth $20 and probably not work the sale price of $12. A bit disappointing.

If you have only a redumentary understanding of HTML and have been wondering what XML is and the differences: this is your course. It's quick, easy to understand, and is a perfect starting point. I now feel more comfortable getting into intermediate courses on XML with this information.

This is a very basic lesson on XML but it does get you up and running fast. If you had no idea really what XML was, this will get you writing basic documents. I would still seek additional info though.

For anyone who worked with XML before, you can safely skip this but it's a great introductory course to those just starting out. I usually get bored of listening to people that just regurgitate information without any real personality behind it but his lectures, surprisingly, were quite nice. It was a great mixture of facts and short and simple lessons that I think newcomers would enjoy. I know codes might scare people who never programmed before but he won't overwhelm you, I promise! All the concepts are quite simple.
