I'd like to address a comment a person made before; he, she or zhe stated that the person giving us this lecture when it came to the part of the bad poem seemed to think that poems are only good when they rhyme, among other things. I'd like to address that when I came to that part of the lecture, that is not true. The person may have reacted that way because zhe was sensitive and was putting themselves inside the shoes of the person that was being constructively criticized. The bad poem was: I won't chase you Or beg you to stay I'm actually grateful I'm finally awake What the professor was trying to say about this poem that makes it "bad" and not exquisite or unique is that the poet is talking about something that is completely normal, a breakup. The poet is not creative since he does not add a different set of emotions as he makes this poem. The poet adds no metaphors or similes to get the reader to understand what he is dealing with. I myself have dealt with breakup and it is no charming matter, and I myself cannot resonate with this poet who states something that is just completely obvious. He is stating a life fact. To understand what he is going through wouldn't it be better if he stated his emotions? What is his perspective of things? What is his vulnerable side?

Some of the information is good, but going through the videos it seems as though the presenter is saying that poetry can only catch a readers eye if it rhymes. The first poem that he stated was "bad", to me it actually caught my eye and based on past emotions and experience and it was relatable. I turned off the course after that. The presenter seems close-minded and does not seem open to other forms of poetry writing and seems like there is only way to create a poem. As long as poetry or other forms of art speak to a persons heart and soul, thats all that matters. I would not recommend this course!

The course outlines are amazing, I am still at 5% and I still expect more, This course came when I need it most,God bless the coach!
