What you will learn

You will learn how to add pure realism (from real images) to your terrain textures with unparalleled control over how you distribute them.

Why take this course?

Want to have realism in your textures? join this course I will teach you:

- What images work best

- where to find them

- How to organise them

- How to use them in World Machine

- How to distribute the image categories in World Machine.

After this course you no longer need to spend hours trying the color nodes or other time consuming nodes and noises to reach realistic texturing, you will be able in a few minutes to go from untextured terrain to realistic textures with full control over distribution of image categories.

The instructor is definitely more comfortable since the first course on World Machine. The nervousness and fast pace of narration/explanation is largely gone and the course is direct and to-the-point. My only negative is that he does not go into how to export out your terrain textures for use in another application. I know how to do it from another course, but it would be nice to just throw in a quick 2 min explanation of what node/device is used to output you final terrain textures.

First of all the introduction is misleading, you mention heightmaps and how you're going to use real-world satellite locations. But in the actual course, you ramble on for an hour doing only one topic instead of teaching new topics, like maybe, how to get real-world locations into World Machine? Also, you mention something about "Repeat Edge Values" which is completely relevant to the topic but you decide to skip it and proceed to say "I covered it in another course", now I'm going to have to go search on google what that means and also search for how to import real-world locations instead of getting the information from someone I paid. You seem to have forgotten that people paid you for this not to just skip over information. You need to remember that this is not a YouTube video (although it should be) and to be honest with you, I've seen way better quality tutorials on YouTube than this. You also speak about irrelevant topics in the video and repeat the same thing over and over again. And what surprised me the most, is that at the end of the video, you challenge yourself to do something instead of giving your students a challenge or instead maybe teach us something new that's worth our money? This type of quality is acceptable for a free YouTube video but not on a video I spent money on. The course is just too overpriced and for 35 dollars, you get absolutely nothing but one topic, irrelevant details, repetitive information, an instructor that tells you to go watch another course just for a little piece of detail and an instructor who isn't sure of his own abilities.
