Great course to learn what the field of Data Science is about, what a career in DS can look like. Great overview of the phases of a projet in DS, the skills required to be part of a DS Team, and the various roles in a DS team. I like the pace of the instructor (slow haha it`s good for me!). Although he has an accent, it is easy to understand. The amount of details provided is sufficient in my opinion for the goals of this course. Thank you!

Overall good and pedagogical information. Really easy to follow. Please try not to move the mouse at all, it’s a bit annoying trying to follow a spinning pointer now and then.

I had my Engineering expertise in Big Data in 2004-2007 during my PhD years, but since 2008 due to the demand of my organiation, I started focusing more on the domain of IT entrepreneurship and its development. The topic "Transitioning into Data Science" has been a great input for my decision making. Course was great. I highly recommend it to anyone interested in pursuing employment in data science. Every module was explained thoroughly and in terms that someone without a data background could understand. The only issue I had was with some of the imagery he used in his presentation; specifically the one with parents arguing in front of a child to illustrate frustrations with teamwork and the process. A better picture would have been used, but the course was perfect otherwise.

Para níveis iniciantes exemplifica bem o que vai ser o curso e sua agregação de valor, e para níveis avançados deixa claro se preciso ou não deste curso. O ritmo da aula foi meio lento para o meu gosto (já tive treinamento para absover grandes quantidades de dados e quando acelerei o vídeo a dicção do autor não fica muito boa.

Kumaran Sir has explained the data science and career paths in a very well written and expressed format, for people looking for careers in DS.
