This class assumes that you know more than most absolute beginners would know about WordPress. It starts off, with a nonsense lecture about why the author chose to do some things and not others and provides an e-book about blogging. Not very useful. Then, it starts introducing WordPress by talking about plugins. That might have been okay but in the 6th lecture, the author builds a new page based on one of the plugins. In real life, people wouldn't necessarily be building sites based on plugins. The course does exactly what it claims that it won't do in the beginning, it teaches you to do things one way, limiting what you can build to what you learn in the course.
