The teacher speacks good, nice voice and clear. Good the topics, but no slides and no graphics... it's a little boring and it's difficult to follow him all that time.

Some good points, not well structured, almost like rambling sometimes. BUt can clearly see instructor speaks from experience. Even if he is appealing to common sense, always worth a listen. No graphics, stats, just turn on lesson and listen.

Okay, so I am a newbie to real estate investing. I have a few connections and gaining more through networking and a site called biggerpockets. I purchased at least 4 courses on real estate investing during the $10.00 deal. This course literally just handed me almost every answer to every question I have had. Not only does he provide so much information but he does it in a way that non-investors and newbies, such as myself, can understand. I get so bored when I purchase courses and they use all these real estate lingos only those who are already established in investing would understand. It was a pleasure taking this course and I will definitely recommend this at my network meetings.

There is a lot of fluff and negativity in this course. To begin with most of the lectures could've been condensed to half the length. Second, the instructor uses personal anecdotal stories to write off a number of options that are used by a large majority of real estate investors. For example, he had two bad experiences with property managers and so he says property managers are basically con artists. Third, he talks about things that he doesn't know at all. For example, he talks about inflation and says that it is around 5%. Inflation hasn't been at 5% in a very very long time and the last few years it was less than 1%. Finally, there were a few contradictions in the author's statements about his credibility. For example, in one video he says that he started investing a couple years ago, in another - 9 years ago, and in some note he said that he was buying properties in a single zip code for over 34 years. There were also a few statements about his returns that didn't quite match.

In the course guide this is title Real Estate Investing Basics, but then the instructor calls it "How Not to Invest in Real Estate". So while the instructor does seemed informed on basic financial analysis necessary to evaluate properties he does not go into any of this info, but instead shares anecdotes about the trials and tribulations of getting going in real estate investing. This is good info for a beginner and the presentation is entertaining enough. It should be titled something to the effect of "What you can expect as a small time landlord" rather than as being truly about basics.

I have been wanting to invest in Real Estate for awhile. This course was beneficial to me because it explained aspects about Real Estate that other people do not cover. I never heard to not use a property manager. Most real estate investors advise you to do so.After taking this course I know now not to. I also know now to buy properties in cash. This is a good course for anyone to take who wants to invest in real estate.
